Anybody with brains and the real Holy Spirit knows that Third Wave leaders such as Peter Wagner,
John Arnott, Che Ahe, Bill Johnson, Rick Joyner, and Dutch Sheets are not only deceived but are
deceivers. Yes they are demonized by believing lies from Satan himself and as a result they have not
truth in themselves but are liars!

The Holy Spirit is on the move. He’s working in the minds and mouths of the false prophets. BAM!
They’ve fallen and they can’t get up.

On June 23rd God moved a mountain -- figuratively speaking -- and the Charismatic church has been
in chaos ever since. That day several of the New Apostolic Reformation leaders met in Lakeland, Florida
for Todd Bentley’s "apostolic alignment commissioning service." What happened was mind-blowing. I’m
not talking about miraculous signs and wonders. There was no gold dust, no oil soaked hands, no angels
with shimmering clothes and bright blue eyes hovering on stage. There was none of that -- but there was
a whole lot of shakin’ goin’ on!

Such notables as C. Peter Wagner, leader of the International Coalition of Apostles, his wife, Doris,
Ché Ahn, John Arnott, Bill Johnson, Rick Joyner and several others came to the 10,000-seat tent to
support what Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire were doing and to commission him as an evangelist. There
was only one problem. The leaders failed to put Bentley through a proper vetting process to find out if he
was deserving of their high honor. Turns out he wasn’t. Now they have egg on their collective faces and
everyone knows it.

As a result, many in the Charismatic church are furious with them -- but it’s too late. The damage is
already done and cannot be undone. What’s worse, thousands of people believed there was a “revival”
going on and traveled from all over the globe to be a part of it. Some went hoping to be healed. They
weren’t. Now they realize they were duped and have fallen into despair. People are wondering if they are
even saved! (For those who doubt their salvation, remember that anyone who comes to faith in the real
Jesus Christ is saved.)

The Word of God tells us to know those that labor among us. We are to know their character and
lifestyles. Todd Bentley preached many false doctrines and did many bizarre things in Lakeland. Many
were blinded to his insane ministry. WE NOW KNOW FOR 100% CERTAIN that Todd was living with
another woman, drunk most nights, and any sincere Bible knowledge should have deeply concerned
people about his heretical doctrines. However, when he confessed his affair with another woman and
applied for divorce, he was rejected by all those who endorsed him and he became exposed as a liar.
Church leadership rejected his ministry and called him to repentance. Some his peers say that they are
ministering to him now and claim that he has repented but we have not heard a word from his lips. Mostly
the entire churches AROUND THE world have rejected Bentley because of his sinful lifestyle of

Anyone who shared the stage with Todd Bentley at Lakeland rather than speaking out against him
put their stamp of approval on his false teachings, his violent behavior, and his false prophecies. They
were willing participants in Bentley's vile deception, lies, adultery, thievery, and sins. We must a note of
these people and stay well away from them, their 'ministries', and anything else they have their hands in.

If anyone will dig a bit further into the lives and connections and intertwined relationships of Karl
Strader, Stephen Strader, Dan Strader, Stephen Strang, Oral and Richard Roberts, Benny Hinn, Rodney
Howard Browne, and other false Apostles it will be evident that they are not only deceived demonized
ones but they have no integrity whatsoever especially financial. They are all liars and thieves who
became rich from the generous free will offerings of God’s people and not through honest and hard work!

The Bible has answers to every problem that man faces including evil men do not understand justice,
but those who seek the LORD understand all. True wisdom, discernment and knowledge comes from
God and the other false wisdom and knowledge comes from Satan who "does not stand in the truth" and
that "there is no truth in him" (John 8:44). The Bible says:

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works
are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your
hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is
earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil
thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing
to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. James 3:13-17

False prophecies, envy, self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing comes with the wisdom that
is earthly, sensual, demonic. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,
willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Unfortunately for these Third Wave fools and hypocrites, Satan is the master of deception. From the
time of his fall from heaven until now, has deceived many. He convinced one third of the heavenly hosts
that he could rise up and be like God. Like most liars, he began to believe his own lie. He told himself
that he had the power to overthrow God and His Kingdom and make it his own. His lie was so convincing
that one third of all the created heavenly beings united with him and attempted to overthrow God and his
Kingdom. They attempted to place Satan on a throne in heaven. However, when the battle was over,
Satan and one third of the angels were cast out of heaven. Even though they believed they could defeat
God as Satan had told them, they still lost the battle. Just believing a lie is true and acting on the lie as if

it were the truth, does not make it true. The angels acted on what they thought was truth, but they were
still cast out of heaven. Yes, acting on a lie is deadly.

Those who act on lies from Satan disguised in beauty and the appearance of truth and believe that
the lie is truth are destroyed by it. And many Christians have been destroyed by not knowing the word of
God and letting it be an active part of them through daily study and mediation, and hearing God’s voice.
As a result everything they did from the time they believed the lie until the time they discovered
the truth was in vain. Yes, the only things that count are the things they do that are based on
truth. God’s word is unchanging:

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they
may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the
anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone
teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a
lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 1 John 2:26-27

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are
ravenous wolves. "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes
or figs from thistles? "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
"A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. "Every tree that does not
bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. "Therefore by their fruits you will know
them. "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he
who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your
name?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice
lawlessness!' Matthew 7:15-23

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God
comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. For you were
once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the
Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is
shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are
exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He
says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light." Ephesians
5:6

If deception of Christians by empty words of deceivers were not possible then Apostle Paul
would not warn Christians about it or that because of these things the wrath of God comes upon
the sons of disobedience and also tells us do not be partakers with them.

And scriptures doesn’t tell us that exposing the unfruitful works of darkness which are done by the
sons of disobedience is wrong bur rather children of light are to become aware of them, expose them
and to have no fellowship with the perpetrators of evil, lies, deception and wickedness many of whom
are goats not sheep! And God’s word is true:

"Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the
everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 'for I was hungry and you gave Me no
food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 'I was a stranger and you did not take Me in,
naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.' "Then they also
will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or
sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?' "Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I

say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'
"And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." Matthew
25:41-46

Jesus taught that the goats who did not give him food when He was hungry, give him drink when He
was thirsty, take Him in when He was a stranger, clothe Him when He was naked, visit Him when He
was sick and in prison would go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. Yes,
all those who did not minister to the least of one of these are unrighteous. And since Jesus wrote the
rules and enforces them, they are in deep trouble.

Yes, Jesus taught that all His words were not to be ignored or there would be serious
consequences. He also told us to beware of men who would come as wolves in sheep’s clothing and
would teach the doctrine of men as commandments of God (Matthew 16:9). He also taught:

 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.' "
 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.' "
 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.' "

Yes, these are the keys to proper ministry and Christian living for God’s word is unchanging:

Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the
Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate
nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. And the devil said to Him, "If
You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread." But Jesus answered him,
saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.' "
Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world
in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, "All this authority I will give You, and their glory;
for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. "Therefore, if You will
worship before me, all will be Yours." And Jesus answered and said to him, "Get behind Me,
Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.' "
Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him,
"If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. "For it is written: 'He shall give His
angels charge over you, To keep you,' "and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you
dash your foot against a stone.' " And Jesus answered and said to him, "It has been said, 'You
shall not tempt the LORD your God.' "
Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune
time. Luke 4:1-13

Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it
is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be
content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish
and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root
of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced
themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold
on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the
presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:6-12

The enemy and men are great liars and deceivers and love to appeal to the lusts of men
including mouthing words that sound nice and appear to true but have no basis in fact. In order
to ensnare those who are gullible, even the righteous, the eloquent words that men speak about
something must appear to be true and must have an element of truth in them. It’s a well known
fact that if something appears too good to be true, then it’s not true. Even though many pastors and

preachers have promised a hundred fold returns for money sowed into their ministries, very few, if any, of
the sheep can testify that they have had a consistent hundred return fold from their giving into a
particular ministry. Yet God’s word is unchanging:

"I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, 'I have
dreamed, I have dreamed!' "How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy
lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, "who try to make My people
forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My
name for Baal. "The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word,
let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the LORD. "Is not My
word like a fire?" says the LORD, "And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
"Therefore behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who steal My words every
one from his neighbor. "Behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who use their
tongues and say, 'He says.' "Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," says the
LORD, "and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I
did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all," says the
LORD. "So when these people or the prophet or the priest ask you, saying, 'What is the oracle
of the LORD?' you shall then say to them, 'What oracle?' I will even forsake you," says the
LORD. "And as for the prophet and the priest and the people who say, 'The oracle of the
LORD!' I will even punish that man and his house. Jeremiah 23:25-34

Even though quite a few pastors and preachers prophecy false dreams and vision and cause
God’s people to err by their lies and by their recklessness, God did not send them or command
them; therefore they shall not profit the people at all. And God will in due season punish those
are false and those who listen to their lies.

We are to check everything that we hear about God and His word with His written word, the bible,
and with the Holy Spirit. If it is really His word then there must be a confirmation with two witnesses and
with miracles, signs and wonders - otherwise it not from God but from man or the devil.

It’s to be noted that Jesus never taught that worship:

 Enhances the sense of unity
 Ministers to one another
 Teaches and reinforces spiritual truth

It is a fact that many songs sung in the Christian church are doctrinally unsound such as “I am a poor
wayfaring stranger.’ True Christians are anything but poor. By faith all the riches and resources of
heaven are available to them here in the current time of life. And Jesus promised everyone who has left
houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for His name's sake, shall
receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life (Matthew 19:29, Mark 10:29).

Yes, some of the so called Christians songs are very depressing and have a form of godliness
but deny its power. Just because you sing lustily in the flesh for an hour in the church doesn’t
mean the power of God will come down, no more than masses of people singing in a local bar!
For the anointing to come down in any place, someone must be in tune with God and open to the
anointing. Then God can express Himself the manifestation of the gifts of the Sprit. I have personally
seen the anointing of God come down in a church through an anointed singer and the senior pastor did
not know what to do with it! When the anointing was manifested, Jesus healed the sick, cast out devils,
gave liberty to the captives, delivered the prisoners, comforted the mourners, healed the brokenhearted,
and gave justice to the oppressed. He didn’t use the time of collect the offering or talk about the
churches building program but He ministered to the poor and needy? Of course when you measure
yourself by yourself, you are doing things right? But when God and others measure you by His or their
standard, you have probably missed the mark? God’s word is unchanging:

How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a
teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for
edification. If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and
let one interpret. But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to
himself and to God. Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. 1 Corinthians
14:26-29

Lakeland Revival Explodes: Todd Bentley Announces Divorce

There are a lot of Christians sad, angry and confused right now. Canadian evangelist Todd
Bentley, leader of the Lakeland Florida Revival, announced that he and his wife Shonnah are
divorcing.

“It is with considerable sadness then, that we must temper the jubilation we know you all feel
with the sobering news that Todd and Shonnah Bentley are presently experiencing significant
friction in their relationship and are currently separated,” the statement read.

“We want to affirm that there has been no sexual immorality on the part of either Todd or
Shonnah, nor has there ever been. Undoubtedly the pressures and the burden of the
Outpouring, which approaches 144 days on August 23rd, have helped to create an atmosphere
of fatigue and stress that has exacerbated existing issues in their relationship,” the statement
continued.

“We wish to stress however, that the Outpouring is not “to blame” for the current chain of events
and that in effect we have no interest in blaming anyone, but rather we deeply covet your
prayers for Todd and Shonnah and for Fresh Fire Ministries during this time,” the statement
said.

When I first read the news I felt sad and prayed for the Bentley’s and their children. Then
I got angry because this didn’t have to happen. There were plenty of danger signs along
the way. Even Dr. George Wood of the Assembly of God offered some wise guidance on
scriptural revival for people to read. We posted it on this web site, “AG Statement on
Revival.” We also posted our concerns “Thoughtful Concerns about the Lakeland
Revival.” Unfortunately those that questioned anything were told they were attacking
Todd Bentley, a mighty move of God and were quickly labeled as judgmental. People
need to remember not every caution is an attack from the devil and can save lives and
even marriages.

It’s obvious now the danger signs were ignored by mostly everybody anywhere near the
Bentleys and the enemy has more ammo to discredit Christianity. With help from God TV and
the Internet the revival was marketed as the hottest thing since sliced bread and people by the

thousands came to Lakeland from Europe and America. Were the Bentley’s ready for this level
of ministry? What about the people around them?

When cautions of concern regarding scriptural error, the angel Emma and exaggerated
testimonies of healing, miracles and people raised from the dead were offered it
appeared that Bentley was finally receiving some counsel, guidance and possible
positive advice on his edginess. (Physical aggressiveness on international television, for
example, can get you and others sued.) Some thought this might stabilize the revival
before it got even crazier.

On June 23rd well known leaders and members of C. Peter Wagner’s, International
Coalition of Apostles, Canadian pastor John Arnott and California pastors’ Che Ahn and
Bill Johnson ordained Todd and offered apostolic oversight to the Lakeland Revival.
Many wondered what that apostolic oversight would entail. This televised ordination
(spiritual covering) through the laying on of hands with personal prophecy over Bentley’s
life opens up a lot of questions such as:

 Did these men have a personal relationship with Todd Bentley? (1 Timothy 5:22)
 Did they know he was having marriage problems? (Somebody sure did.)
 Were those prophetic words judged? (Then, now, ever?)
 Did they think the Bentleys were able to handle the spiritual warfare on that level?
 What about the other ministers on the platform?
 Were they taking an active role in the revival?
 Did they provide wise counsel regarding the questionable esoteric messages being
taught?
 Did they stick around?
 What is the role of true spiritual fathers?
 What are they going to do now?
 Who helps clean up the mess?

We should all remember that revival is not about Todd Bentley or any other preacher, it’s about
Jesus. It’s not about being on TV, big crowds under a tent, or selling tapes, videos or air time
either. It’s about turning the hearts of men, it’s about repentance from sin and it’s about reaching
the world for Christ. It looks like a lot of people used this revival to advance their ministries. Now
the Bentleys need some serious help to restore their marriage. I wonder how many will come to
their aid without the television cameras and big crowds.

I know there are lots of people as frustrated as me that have something to say about this but
let’s remember the thousands of people who are hurt that need to know that Jesus is still Savior.
He is still the one that shed His blood for their sins. We also need to pray for the Bentley family
and all those who worked with them in the Lakeland meetings. Again, this could have been
avoided with wise counsel. The warning signs were there and few saw them.

The Lakeland explosion is a classic example of what not to do. I think we should all
repent because this didn’t have to happen.
