The other stuff I am currently a second year FDA graphic design student at the University Centre at Blackburn College. I actually rather love graphic design, or should I say, I love being creative and graphic design is the perfect outlet for that. I think for me, the best thing about being a designer, is being able to take a problem, and apply a creative solution to it. I love the feeling you get when an idea starts to form and you can feel it, thats the one. And I love nurturing that idea in to a fully fledged concept and in turn, in to a successful pitch and project.

Education
FDA Graphic Design University Centre at Blackburn College September 2011 - Present Modules studied Image Development Digital, Image Development Non-Digital, Contextual Studies, Personal Development, Research Methods, Type Fundamentals, Ideas and Communication, Design Production for Print, Advertising as Communication, Identity and Brand Building, Three Dimensional Design, Critical Studies, Editorial Design Extracurricular activities I am student representative and have been since the course began in September 2011. To carry out these duties I support my class mates with any issues that may arise and attend programme committee meetings to raise and address such issues. I also like to ensure that I am available for my class mates to contact me regarding matter such as deadline dates and to clarify project briefs.

Reading & Leeds Festival

The brief: Create an original campaign aimed at 16-24yrs students to encourage them to attend the festival. The concept: The concept is INFECTED. Derived from the feeling that is often experienced due to music and especially when in an atmosphere such as a festival or music gig. The concept features traditional print based media but due to the age range of the target audience, the concept relies heavily on social media platforms, as well as publicity stunts with the intention of these going viral.

Programmes: Photshop, Illustrator

LA Ink Brand Extension Concept

The brief: Create a commerically viable product extension for a chosen brand. The concept: I chose to use the brand LA Ink, as this is a brand I am personally interested in and felt that I could create a succesful product extension from this. I chose to create a range of cosmetic products which would be contained in antique style poision bottles. This is fitting to the brand and would be greatly appealing to the target audience.

Programmes: Cinema 4D, Photoshop

Canvas magazine

The brief: Create a 16 page minimum editoral piece. The concept: I chose to create a tattoo base feature magazine. The reason I chose this is due to existing magazines all being very visually generic. I wanted to create a very stylistic and sleek magazine that showcased the tattoos featured within. This is a project that I am particulary proud of. I worked on every part of the development, from art direction, photography, written articles and created the visual style of the magazine.
