Force Transfer Calibrator for Tank's Load Cell Calibration Does anyone using "Force" Transfer (either push-up

or push-down) calibrator to calibrate the tank's load cells? So far, our plant using standard flowmeter to introduce water through it to the tank to calibrate the tank level. We are now planning to search for alternative measure to cut down the calibration time and cost. One of the best method I think is using this so-called "Force" transfer calibrator. Does anyone have used this calibrator before? which brand you used? So far I know Nova weight have this calibrator but they may need more time to study our tanks. Our time is running out. Pls help....thanks. 21 days ago Like CommentFollow Flag More 7 comments

Follow Hilton Hilton Lager You don't give technical detail....

1. Can the load cell can be removed for calibration ? If so, why not keep a spare and just change it out when required?

2. Do you sell product by weight from the tank ? If so, such calibrations should be done by certified 3rd parties.

If the load cell cannot be removed for calibration, the design is a bit short-sighted... 16 days ago Like

Follow Marcus Marcus KYYap We don't remove the load cells from the tanks support and swap with the spare bcos the load distrubution may shifted and then again have to redo calibration to verify it by filling in the water.

we measure the level of the tank through load cells. 16 days ago Like

Follow Eddie Eddie Breedt HI Marcus what type of material?

Do you want to calibrate the loadcell it self or your amplifier card? 15 days ago Like

Follow Richard Richard Manning While it might not be practical for your use, most of the companies that do scale calibrations would use either come-alongs or chain hoists to raise weights (usually 500lb) to hang from the tank in several places. All of the equipment used would be certified as to it's own weight. You only have to bring a weight up to around 20% of the max to certify many types of scales. This also allows you to have a true "live load" on the system which makes for a more accurate way of doing things. 14 days ago Like

Follow Marcus Marcus KYYap Hi Eddie ;

We want to calibrate ourselves as what we always do since the first day. 6 days ago Like

Follow Marcus Marcus KYYap Hi Richard ;

We have many pipings, valves, fittings, spray balls, instruments and agitator hook to the each tank. All the tanks are located inside the indoor and we do not have four hooks on top of the tank or a single hook below the tank's bottom. I guess using hoist to lift up the tank may be practical.

Follow Roger G Roger G Lee Hello. So if you are using the 'standard' flowmeter and you are questioning the level, and with all the piping and valves in place, then why not just install the BEST flowmeter with a bench calibration certificate. Regards, Roger Lee
