Research in BSBE is focused on: regenerative medicine (stem cell biology, tissue engineering, drug delivery, biomedical device, biochemical/bioprocess engineering and biomaterials); understanding protein sequence-structure-function relationship (structural and computational biology, bioinformatics); engineering approaches to understand biological systems (biomechanics, and imaging processing); genetic control of development, differentiation and disease (genetics,cell biology and developmental biology).
