April 22 and 23. I arrived in the
evening of the 21st, about 9 o'clock,
and was met by Mr: W. C. Wilson, the
President of the Association, who took
his resfderice, where I found a
real .home .. during my brief stay.
This Association comprises this part

people of the various churches. It
was held at the Church of the

Heretofore, whenever we have

At midnight we took the train for

It appears that a large percentage of our Christian friends have never
enjoyed the use of a WALL ROLL. For tbe of such .we would
say, " THE FAVORITE TEXT WALL ROLL" is a roll14x21 inches,
containing 32 pages and a handsome cover page. It is so arranged that
by turning a leaf each morning you inayhave hefore you a helpful text
of Scripture in type large enough to be read across an ordinary room.
In this particular WALL ROLL the t.exts were selected by
ministers and evangelists, and are accompanied by some helpful words
from them.
Thus, in addition to Word," you have amessageJrom one of God's Mes-

STATEMENT.
After receiving the sop, Judas went out.
Evidently he had sometime previously
planned with the J ewish officials that at
a ''convenient season'' he would betray
.Jesus. So while Jesus is delivering the
remarkabl e words in John 14-15 lie was
arranging with the officials' to arrest J esus.
The lesson is the account of the trans
action. The time is Friday before day.

(a) Avarice, most think. (b) Some think
he thought Jesus Divine and was dis!lp-
pointcd and horrified that his Master did
not free himself and make display of his
power, and his sin presumption. (c) An-
qthe r the9ry is that Judas was seeking.
popularity-with which ever side would be
successful. (d) Some think he posed as
a true professor, while he was false all
the t ime. On the other hand, we are eon-
strained t o conclude (e) that be _was once
a child of God, or else we make Jesus
char geable with scleetihg one for the

those r epresenting him. (g) It is con-
tra ry to all ordina ry custom for good men,
and J esus himself, to make a m.an treas-

so after his appoinlmcnt. Judns;'-li:ke an

3. What about Peter? (a) In somo
respects he had natural elements of both
weakness and str ength. He was full of
impulse and a llowed himself to commit-
ment before pr oper consideration. At one
t ime he says, '' Lord, thou shalt never
wash my f ee t .' ' After more light and
better thought, he wanted to be washed,
head and all . (b) H e was a good r epcnt e r.
If he was easy t o fall down, he was .quick
t o get up. He never had baekslider dumps.
(c) He knew the way back and t ook it, in
bi tter tears. He looked af Jco:us or he

the case of Jmlas, steps towards the fall.
