CHANGE AND DEFECT MANAGEMENT

1. Responsible in managing the Alcatel-Lucents Customer Network change process, to ensure that all changes (Modification, Add, Delete and Change) are thoroughly assessed, in order to detect any potential impact before being introduced into an environment (Production Network). 2. Ensure that all changes are documented properly, equipment configuration and field parameters are periodically audited and compared with the latest platform documents just to make sure that production platform documents are aligned with the actual data and perform a regular back up during and after any changes. 3. Review carefully the change procedure/s and Method Of Procedure submitted by the Installation and Platform Manager/s, this is to make sure that the steps are well defined, and the testing and verification results are accurately documented for future references. 4. Schedule a meeting through voice conferencing, to discuss the requested change in the concerned Production equipment such as software upgrade, configuration and parameters modification, deletion in the equipment with the customer representatives, Product managers just to make sure that both parties understand the activities, agreed to some concerns and getting the approval. 5. Managing the defects (software and hardware) discovered during the project execution such as in integration and Factory Acceptance testing. To ensure that the defects are recorded in the ticketing system, properly managed (troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolution) and meeting the committed customers Service Level Agreement to avoid any possible delays and customer dissatisfaction. 6. Coordinate with the concerned Technical Support Team and developers to quickly resolve the defects and faults. 7. Ensure that the impact of an Incident on the Customer business operations is minimized 8. End-to-End management of high severity incidents reported from the point of initiation to the point of resolution participate in the escalation process and involve the appropriate service manager as required. 9.
