Online General English Course - Premium: Pre-Advanced (B2+)

In collaboration with Net Languages, we offer seven levels of 100% online General English Premium courses, ranging from Pre-Elementary (A1) to Advanced (C1), which can be taken at any time of the year. Each complete level contains between 120 and 150 hours of study time. Students can sign up for a complete level (10 units) or half a level (Part A, units 1-5, or Part B, units 6-10). Each unit is designed around a topic and is divided into 16 sections (for details on each section, see Course Structure). Each student is assigned a personal tutor who will help and support them during the course. Students will send the writing tutorials to their tutor for comments, corrections and evaluation. They will also talk to their tutor in real time to practise speaking and pronunciation. The combination of motivating material, tutor support and a wide variety of exercise types contribute to an enjoyable and rewarding language learning experience.

Read about the theme, think and comment. Increase your vocabulary with everything you need to talk and write about the theme. Improve your grammar with exercises, games and activities. Listen to a variety of speakers talking about the theme of the unit. Test your progress in the unit. If you have any problems, your tutor will help you find a solution. Use the Virtual School to talk to other students around the world, and share your experiences and opinions. In the first tutorial you email your written work to your tutor for correction. Learn practical language skills for different situations such as travel, hotels and socialising. Record yourself doing the exercises, and send them to your tutor. Find out more about the theme of the unit, and share your news and opinions with other Net Languages students. In the second tutorial you produce a longer piece of writing and email it to your tutor for correction. Talk to your tutor by phone or over the Internet and comment on your work and the unit. Revision activities to consolidate what you have learnt. Test your progress in the unit. If you have any problems, your tutor will help you find a solution. Extra speaking tutorials

Normally there is one 20-minute speaking tutorial per unit, but you can sign up for extra speaking tutorials with your tutor. To do so, select the number of additional tutorials you would like when you buy your course. All speaking tutorials are with professional English language teachers.

Outcome
At the end of the Pre-Advanced (B2+) course, you will be able to: confidently express yourself in English; understand virtually all conversations as well as many television programmes and films; understand most complex factual and literary texts as well as texts on fields that you are not familiar with; communicate effectively in different situations as well as use a wide range of vocabulary; write clear and well-structured texts in an appropriate style.

Certification
Candidates will receive a Cambridge and Net Languages certificate. This certificate will specify the grade they have obtained on completion of the course.
