Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:4
Everyone is busy, with much that demands our attention. It is a real blessing when someone takes time to talk to us and listen to our concerns. We feel cared for! Paul tells us to carry each others burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the Laws of Christ. We all can provide one-onone care and prayer to lighten a friends burden. Eaton Chapel is a wonderful place to meet and care for a friend!
Music Ministry The Offertory music at the 8:30 am and 11:00 am services today was written by Joe Dorsch in honor of Norman Foxs retirement as Director of Choirs. This original work is based on words of Psalm 47: How awesome is the Lord Most High! Sing praises to God, sing praises to the King of all the earth, for He is greatly exalted! SongFest, July 14th at 3:00 p.m. Sacred sing-along of familiar hymns, gospel, and contemporary songs led by Joe Dorsch, Doug Malefyt, Bob Rosenberger, Michelle Dodoo, and Bryan Wallie, coordinated by Pauline Fox. Many people from the community attend this free public event and enjoy the informal reception afterward sponsored by UMW. Helpers are needed to welcome these guests! Sign up today in Fellowship Hall to deliver fliers, or serve as a greeter, kitchen helper, set up/take down. Fliers and sponsor forms for support by Friends can be printed from www.esumc.net under News/Organ Events.
Lisa Pino Resigning as Director of Childrens Ministry The Staff Parish Relations Committee met on Tuesday evening and received the notice from Lisa Pino that she would be leaving her position as the Director of Childrens Ministry due to increased family health concerns. The Church thanks Lisa for her leadership in the past year and wishes her and her family well. The SPR Committee will be conducting a job search this summer so that the position can be filled before the start of the new school year. Thanks to all who are volunteering throughout the summer to keep our childrens program a vital part of our congregational ministry. Candidate for Director of Worship The Director of Music and Worship search task force appointed by the Staff Parish Relations team has been busy in the past month reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates. On Wednesday, June 19 through Sunday, June 23, a candidate named Andrew Waddell will be visiting our church. During his time here, he will be meeting with the praise team, leading a choir rehearsal, and participating in all three worship services. Here is how you can be involved during Andys stay with us: Observe the praise team practice on Wednesday, June 19 at 7:00 p.m. Observe or participate in a choir rehearsal on Thursday, June 20 at 7:00 p.m. You do not need to be a member of the Chancel Choir in order to sing. This group will not be singing on Sunday; this is a practice session only. Attend a worship service on Sunday, June 23.
Invite Andy for a meal or a time of fellowship on any of the days he is here. Call Maria at the church for more information and details.
