May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen PARISH MASS BOOKS We are now using Volume 2 of the new Mass books for Year C. As with Year A and Year B, books if you would like to donate 1.95 for one of these books, or 7.95 for the large print books, please feel free to do so, and we will enter into the book a dedication for your intention. Just put into an envelope the offering and the name(s) you wish inscribed in the book(s) and hand to Yvonne: for a deceased person please add 'RIP' to the name or names; for someone alive, please add 'Intention'. PARISH FAITH FORMATION As part of the Year of Faith, Fr Andy is hosting evenings based upon the CaFE (Catholic Faith Exploration) compilation DVD produced for the Year of Faith. The next session which will be on The Saints, will be on Thursday 20 th June, and will run from 7.30pm-9.00pm at Our Lady of Peace. Further sessions will be held and will be on The Poor, The Bible, The Church and The New Evangelisation. All are welcome to come along for a bit of faith input (each DVD session runs for around 40mins) in a relaxed environment (with plenty of time for drinks, nibbles and chat following the DVD)!

Morning Prayer is prayed before every weekday Mass and the Rosary is prayed after Mass: all are welcome to join us. CONFIRMATION PROGRAM On Tuesday, 18th June there will be a rehearsal in Our Lady of Peace Church. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Bishop Peter on Tuesday, 25 th June at 7.30pm in Our Lady of Peace. SEED AND PLANT SWOP at Our Lady of Peace Infant and Nursery School on Thursday, 20 th June at 3.00pm. If you have any spare packets of unwanted seeds or surplus of seedlings or plants, then bring them along to swap them for something you need. SUPPORTING PEOPLE with special needs and disabilities in the Catholic Church. There is a small group operating in the Diocese that may be able to help you. There will be an information/listening meeting at Holy Family Church, Langley, on Sunday, 23 rd June at 3.00pm. You would be most welcome. VOCATIONS WEEKEND: IS GOD CALLING YOU? 21st - 23rd June at the Cathedral in Northampton. A weekend for men who are asking whether God is calling them to the Priesthood. HCPT GROUP 117 Pilgrimage to Lourdes, are holding a dance on 28 th June at Slough Irish Club, in aid of the Childrens Easter Pilgrimage 2014. Tickets priced 5 will be on sale on the door. Please try and support the vital work the group do to enable children with special needs to travel to Lourdes. OUR LADY OF PEACE INFANT & JUNIOR SCHOOLS Summer Fete will take place on Saturday, 29th June from 12noon to 3pm. The theme will be A Tropical Dream. The joint PTA committee are looking for volunteers to help on the day, also for any of the following : soft toys, CDs, DVDs, toiletries, toys, stationery etc, they ask that any items should be new or nearly new or in good condition. These can be left at either of the Schools. 20TH ANNUAL NORES LECTURE on Friday, 5th July at 7.30pm at Holy Ghost Parish Centre, 33 Wesbourne Road, Luton, LU4 8JD. The New Evangelisation the Churchs mission to proclaim the Gospel; reaching out to Baptised Catholics who have become distant from the faith. The Rt Rev Kieran Conry, Bishop of Arundel and Brighton is leading the lecture. All are very welcome, the lecture is followed by Evening Prayer and Refreshments. CATHOLIC WOMENS LEAGUE The Burnham Section of the Catholic Womens League will be selling good quality handbags, gardening books and cookery books at Burnham Carnival on Saturday, 13th July. We would be very grateful for any donations. Please leave bags, clearly labeled For CWL in Our Lady of Peace Church porch, or bring them to our stall in the park on the day. Funds raised will be donated to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. MARRIAGE: AN ADVENTURE IN LOVE You are cordially invited to attend, in the presence of Bishop Peter, the Northampton Diocesan Summer School for Marriage and Family Life, on 22 nd to 24th July, at NORES, Parish Centre, Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Westbourne Road, Luton, LU4 8JD. This is an event to support and promote the on-going renewal of marriage and family life. You are welcome to attend all three days or any combination of days. ST ANDREW'S CHURCH OUTING TO LITTLEHAMPTON Friday, 9th August cost 13.00 per seat. Coach departs St Andrews at 8.30am and departs Littlehampton at 5.00pm. LIGHTHOUSE Burnham Lighthouse, the Christian run holiday club, will run from Monday, 29 th July to Friday, 2nd August. They are preparing for their 12th year at Burnham Grammar School and rely on volunteers each year to help with the children and the various games and activities which are provided for them. If you feel you can help, please see their website for details of volunteering www.lighthouseburnham.org.uk The craft team at Burnham Lighthouse are collecting the following items: Wool, Toilet roll and kitchen roll tubes, Cereal boxes, A4 coloured paper, A4 coloured card, Decorations, eg: stickers, sequins, glitters, etc. Please leave in the boxes in the Church porches.
