PROPHETIC WORD TO GODS CHURCH Gods One Required Fast I see so many churches staging one, two, three,

even twenty-oneday fasts, supposedly in My honor. Yes, I mean staged, because when a certain day rolls around everyone is expected to search for sin in their lives and mourn over their transgressions. Why wait till then to make things right with me? Does it take the dawning of a specific day to induce you to repent, if indeed you do have some sin in your life you havent yet confessed to Me and put under the Blood? Are you saving up your sins so youll have something to confess when confession time rolls around? Why not clean the slate with Me right now so youll never have to bring that sin up ever again? Many churches attempt an impressive stunt to try to get Me to bless them and pour out miracles and draw sinners to their church. The best they know how, they try to imitate the 21-day fast of Daniel, who did eat a limited amount of plain food for strength. Daniel fasters reason that even I will have to admit that I OWE them something in exchange for the hunger, headaches, weight loss and weakness of their long period of self-denial. Many of these churches are full of self-centered, snobbish cliques which dont make visitors feel welcome. Week after week I see more than one precious saint sitting alone in his or her pew, ignored because theyre not glamorous or important enough to socialize with. These people often come to church alone. Many dont fit into the young people category, the young marrieds category or even the singles-looking-for-mates category. Theyre just there to find fellowship around Christ. After a year or so of trying to break the ice and get accepted, they eventually give up and move on, reasoning that its cheaper to freeze to death at home than to spend bus fare to come to church to be frozen out. Even a lot of so-called charismatic churches have lost their fire. Maybe the rejected individual has a prophetic ministry and cant bury My message and just forget about it. Maybe its a man who doesnt automatically submit to harmful false doctrines the pastor preaches from the pulpit. Maybe its a plain-looking woman who boldly speaks My strong admonitions to the church instead of just being a Barbie doll who sings flowery songs and talks about nothing but trivial womens issues like weight loss and fashion. The prophetic ministry is often a lonely one and a hard one as well because, whether male or female, those called to it continually carry

on their heart the burden of a church which is more like a playground than a battleground against satan and his evil works. It isnt just the unglamorous or the outspoken who are frozen out, but the poor and the so-called unsuccessful in My Church. Many Christians would rather starve their bodies to try to get the miracle power going than feed the poor and be a friend to the friendless in their midst. Churches stage annual pre-convention fasts in hopes of persuading Me to release a mighty anointing of power to heal the sick and deliver folks from satans oppression. This is a form of observing special days of the year and coming under religious obligation to fulfill their required rituals (Gal.4:9-11), expressly warned against in My Word and condemned as rank heresy. And even then, there are often ulterior motives for desiring these blessings. THEIR church will become a big hit with the community and membership (and contributions) will increase. A little temporary discomfort in exchange for blessings from My hand. Do you think I require your two cents worth of so-called suffering to supplement what My Son did for you on Calvary? Do you honestly believe that I take pleasure in seeing you torture your own bodies with hunger as you go to work at a fancy restaurant serving other people their meals? Does this merit My favor and My kindness toward you, already earned on your behalf through the sufferings of My own dear Son the Lord Jesus Christ? Didnt the wicked priests of Baal also seek to appease their own god with physical discomfort when they fasted and cut themselves out of desperation to try to get a miracle out of him (I Kings 18:26)? Faith works by love (Gal.5:6). True agape love is in short supply in cold, carnal churches across the land. I see many saints fasting before a church convention, or just because the pastors done something wrong, has a guilty conscience and wants the whole church to humble themselves with him. Their stomachs are (temporarily) empty but their freezers are crammed with more food than they need for the foreseeable future, including ice cream treats they plan to enjoy to make up for all the tasty calories they supposedly sacrificed to honor me. At the same time, there may be other Christians who dont even have a scrap of bread for lunch. The daddy of a large family chews his nails in anxiety, wondering how to get the light bill paid, wondering how to scrape together a couple dollars to buy pinto beans to stretch two meals out of. Its not that this man is lazy, hes just been laid off and his wife is expecting yet another baby. She is too tired and ill to work a strenuous job to make ends meet. Very strange how so many

Christians campaign against the sin of abortion yet fail to see any sin in allowing already born children of other people to go without, when they are in a position to help. The poor Christian man is way too ashamed to make his needs known to his more affluent brethren. He cries out to Me for help. I impress several to go by and see this family. But they refuse. That particular man is a loser in their eyes, someone who doesnt know how to manipulate The Seven ABCs of Prosperity. The ones impressed to help just cross the road so they wont see him anymore. Out of sight, out of mind. Just like the self-righteous religious Jews in Jesus parable. Theyre in no mood to become Good Samaritans. Theyd much rather go swimming or to the movies. After all, tomorrows the start of that dreaded three-day church fast and theyd better pack in all the fun they can before they must put on their miserable self-denying face. Instead of putting on the self-starvation act every year, why dont churches celebrate My love all year-round, increasing more and more in acts of kindness and charity up till the time of the convention (I Thes.4:9-10)? Instead of depriving their own bodies of food, why dont My people go out in the community and seek out those who have nothing to eat, beginning with those in their midst? Why dont My people feed and strengthen one another on the manna of the Love of Christ instead of trying to please Me by weakening themselves in fasting? The purpose of your assembling together is to build one another up in love (Eph.4:16). I see way too much religious activity in churches worldwide and precious little loving, caring and sharing in the spirit of the love of Jesus. I see many ex-believers going into dark cults to try to find the love and acceptance they never found in so-called churches. I see many mothers and fathers, themselves exasperated by the coldness and deadness of church, pleading with their child to just give Jesus a chance. But all that child knows is their own parents never felt loved or cared about in churchianity. So they dont intend to waste their own lives barking up the wrong tree or beating a dead horse. I have written ICHABOD over these dead religious deep freezes and have removed Myself from their midst. So many of My innocent children who commit no greater sin than failure to fit in with carnal church cliques are forced to suffer unjust ostracism, a punishment My church is to reserve for serious offenders such as unrepentant thieves, fornicators, adulterers or idolaters (I Cor. Chapter 5). My innocent children who believe in Me, serve Me faithfully and have done nothing to deserve such a cruel punishment often get unjustly frozen out by cold, uncaring church

members. When that happens, that treatment has also been dished out to Me, for I am one spirit with every true believer (I Cor.6:17). And like them, I never stay where Im not wanted. And it will come to pass that these religious Christian hypocrites who fast all the time from food but hate and scorn their own brethren will get nothing but an upset digestive tract in exchange for their so-called sacrifice, which I already reject. And I will leave them cold, empty and desolate, like a woman who lives in perpetual widowhood after being rejected by her own husband. Do I even want you to fast? If youre already deeply involved in spiritual warfare or urgent prayer, do put everything else on the back burner till you feel a release which tells you the battle has been won in the spirit. But fasting in and of itself has no value anymore, except to aid in weight loss. Everywhere in the epistles of the apostles, youll find exhortations to love one another and seek each others good. Youll be exhorted to continue in prayer and good works (I Thes.5:16-22). But after the Book of Acts, not one exhortation to fast from food as a devotional duty. Even I Cor.7:5 is not a commandment to fast, just an instruction to married couples not to withhold marital relations from each other unless it is mutually agreed that earthly things will be temporarily set aside in order to focus on prayer. If this verse could be interpreted as a commandment to fast, it follows that abstinence from marital sex is also commanded here, which is definitely not true! The only abstaining (fasting) commanded after the Cross is abstention from evil. The only reference to commanding to abstain from food is to condemn the forbidding of food as a doctrine of devils, along with forbidding to marry (see I Tim.4:3). Some fast for the anointing to turn the world upside down. But havent I ALREADY gifted you all with ALL things pertaining to life and godliness (2 Pet.1:3)? Only ONE spiritual anointing is mentioned after the Cross (I John 2:27), not several. Where, in the New Testament do you read of separate special anointings being needed, to be obtained through fasting or any other so-called sacrifice? My people, stick with the Word, RIGHTLY DIVIDED and read through the eyes of understanding of what is applicable to saints living under the New Covenant. Fast from wickedness and bad attitudes toward others. Fast from selfishness and greed. Instead of emptying your stomachs, FILL your hearts and lives with charity (I Cor.13). An empty stomach doesnt fill your heart with love and charity. Even if you give your body to be burned it doesnt matter one tiny bit so long as you harbor hatred and resentment toward your neighbor in the next pew. Fast from everything which

violates the spirit of My love. Thats the only type of fasting I require.
