Objective: Mapping ER and E-ER Modeling concept to Relational Model Practice 1 Convert the following to Relational Model (For the relevant EER representation refer to Lab Worksheet 01 - Practice 1) 1.1 An Employee can work in many departments and one department can have many Employees. Practice 2 Refer to the EER Diagram for the scenario given below which was completed in the Lab Worksheet 01 - Practice 2 and map it to the relational Model. A non-profit organization depends on a number of different types of persons for its successful operation. The organization is interested in the following attributes for all these persons: NIC number, Name, Address, Telephone numbers, Date of birth and also age. Three types of the persons are of great interest: Employees, Volunteers and Donors. Employees have a Date Hired attribute and Volunteers have a Skill Attribute. All family members of the employees will be provided with a medical allowance within the employment period. The organization keeps record of the items it receives by its Donors. A donor donates one or more items, and an item may have no donors, or, one or more donors. The attributes of the item are Name, Quantity and Type. If the donated item comes with a warranty, the warranty details should be maintained.
