Library Information System of Piat Academy Chapter I The Problem and its Background Introduction
Information Systems are becoming ever more central to society, especially in business and industry. As society and technology develop, the most important skills for the futurelife in the development of individuals with the ability to both understand and manage these interrelated systems. Consequently, the things that were once seen in our country (people, organizations, information and technology) are now expected to operate a system that would help them to make their work easier and faster. At present, Piat Academy couldnt search for the files easily because as we observe, they do not have any computerized system. Thus, many problems are encountered. Common of which are the losing of files, consume a lot of time and prone to error. The researchers therefore, propose for the Piat Academy Library Information System so that the parish will have better and faster manipulation that would be efficient to the school.

Conceptual Frameworks
Students Name Borrow/Return Students record what or when the book has borrowed.
The system will allow admin to enter the students name (LastName, FirstName) Where in it can easily record the students data and what book was borrowed. It will also the remarks of the books which were lost, damaged and vandalized.
Statement of the Problem

These are some information regarding on the problem of the agency in their manual library transaction. 1. How to provide a system that will secure the borrowed books? 2. How to provide a system that will process the returning and borrowing of books? 3. How to provide a system that will monitor the recording of the library holdings? 4. How to produce a system to solve library transaction? 5. How report books that are frequently of used and borrowers particular?
Library Information System of Piat Academy General Objectives

The main objectives of this study are to design, develop and implement the Library Information System of Piat Academy.
Research Objectives
1. To provide a library system that will secure the borrowed books. 2. To provide a system that will process the returning and borrowing of books. 3. To provide a system that will monitor the recording of the library holding. 4. To produce a system to solve library transaction. 5. Reports books that are frequently of used and borrowers particular.
Significance if the Study

This study is conducted for the benefit of the student, castration schools library, administration staff and researchers. School Administration.The result of the study would provide efficient an effective processing of data for the library service. Information User. They can be benefited through receiving better services and save time. It also encourages them to cooperate to the library staff for the improvement of the library. Library Staff.To determine the information needs, problem and practices are encountered by the users. To find also the baseline information for librarians in improving services as them to Researchers. This study may help them to apply their knowledge and skills in finding solutions for the problems.

In this study, it is focused on the needs, practices and problems encountered by the users and librarian in terms of 1. Borrowing 2. Returning 3. Information It is limited to the evaluation of library files and other pertinent documents that require confidentiality. This was conducted at Piat Academy.
Definition of Terms
To have a clear understanding of the study, the following terms are being defined. Access to call upto active for use a computer system may contains a variety of programs and date files, but not are active already for use until called up by the operator or a program routine. Library - a room, building, or institution where a collection of books or other research materials is kept. Book- a collection of printed or manuscript pages sewn or glued together along one side and bound between rigid boards or flexible covers. Computer is an electronic device capable of accepting data and processes this data to become meaningful information.

Computerized it is conducted by means of a computer or automated procedure. Data is a collection of raw facts, used for interference, quantities or characters operated by a computer. Documents refer to the original official paper relied upon a basis or support of something. Entity person, partnership, organization or business unit which has a legal existence for which accounting records are kept, and about which financial statements are prepared. Identification Number- student unique identification number carrying the whole name and position. Information a data can be stored, retrieved and manipulated by a computer. It is a process data. Input data or programs entered or to be entered in the computer. Manual- a system involving data processing which does not make use of stored program computing equipment; by this somewhat arbitrary definition, system using other types of tabulating equipment, such as the card- programmed calculator are considered to be manual. Manual System is a process of computing the compensation of salaries of employees involving their hands of physical source.

Output is information resulting from computer processing, which is delivered to user as printout or video display or transferred to a disk. Password a secret word or phrase that somebody must use to enter in a place or to access in ones private property. Program set of instruction telling a computer what to do. It is usually done or performed by the user. Retrievalthe operation of accessing in from the computers memory, the act of regaining or saving something lost (or in danger of becoming lost). Storage the area of non- volatile memory in the computers such as in a hard disk or an external device, as diskette or tape were copies of program and data files are kept for future use. System is a regular interaction of interdependent elements forming a unified whole (people, equipment and materials). User Management consists of an access level that will manage or organized whether the employee have the right to access the whole system.

Libraries are composed of wide selection of non-fiction (fact-based) books as well as fiction (novels and stories). Library is a collection of literary documents records kept or reference or borrowing. To determine whether or not a library has the book you need, you have to consult the card catalog. It is also collection of materials containing information ideas, and works of imagination organized and staff by people trained to make them available. (Eleanor Ahlers, 2005) Different groups of people use libraries- Teachers and students, youngsters and the elderly, police and plumbers and politicians. Each group, each person has different library needs. Because no one library can handle all needs, there are different kinds of libraries share materials with each other. (Ariz Tucson, 2004) No library, no matter how large, has every book or the answer to every question. So libraries, through borrowing and lending arrangements, share with each other as well as the people who use them. Should the book or magazine be needed where it is, a photographic copy or photocopy can be made of the pages wanted. (Lilian Bradshaw, 2004) To provide an accurate and consistent output as well as systematic accessing of data involved in borrowing, returning and inventory process a client- server library system was needed. The community talks many physical forms, ranging from large purpose built buildings and in this community there may be libraries fulfilling different purpose and serving different client groups or groups it serve. (John F. Anderson, 2003)

(Information Today, Inc,. 2001) Electronic Online Systems (EOS) International has announced that, in 1999, 53 libraries installed the Q Series, EQS Internationals next- generation, client/ server- based library information management system. The majority of these libraries have implemented the full Q Series system, including the Cataloging, Circulation, Serials Acquisitions, OPAC, and/or Q @ccess Web OPAC modules. (Information Today, Inc., 2000) The use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in schools is now commonplace and, for many teachers, an unquestionable part of everyday teaching and learning. Within music education, detailed studies of the use of ICT in the classroom are rare. It discussed how many of the potentially liberating effects of ICT in musical practices outside the classroom have failed to make an impact within the classroom. (Jonathan Savage, 2007) The rapid advances in information and communication technologies are offering new potentials for producing and distributing knowledge. These techniques have fundamentally altered how we live and work as well as how

we learn. Computer connectivity has allowed new form of correspondence to evolve. Academic, are fast extolling academically, professionally due to the advert of information technology. (Karllheinz Kautz and Khofoed, 2009) A significant amount of literature is available on library system. A majority of the findings are derived from experiences in the US, Japan and Western Europe. Some library systems however, can be affected by variations in local conditions such s infrastructure, customs, duties, and regulations. Hence, it is essential to view such systems in an international context. To frame this research, we will examine the literature on operations in NIC countries followed by an analysis of local conditions in Thailand. A number of articles are available that examine the inventory setups in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Korea. (Amsden, 2000) With the modern trends of technology nowadays, children are prone to harmful effects that gadgetry brings. About 60 to 70% of kids around the world age 10-17 years old are hooked up to cellular phones. They Spend up to 5 or more hours calling, sending texts or just playing. (Ma. Sheila Escuro, 2009) A dynamic website is one that has frequently changing information or interacts with the user from various methods or direct interaction. When the Web server receives a request for a given page, The page is automatically retrieved from storage by the software in response to the page request. A site can display the current state of a dialogue between users, monitor a changing situation, or provide information in some way personalized to the requirements of the individual user. (WikiPedia)
Chapter III. Methodology of the Study

Research Design: The Design used was descriptive. The research discussed the collection of data on the present status of the user or the person which wishes to study.
Locale of the Study The research entitled Library information System was conducted at Piat Academy, Piat, Cagayan particularly the Library.
Research Instrument: The researchers tend to know the dis/advantages with regard to the library set-up of the school and how the processing of borrowing and returning of books being done. Part of it is to know the importance of electronic Library set-up.

Library Information System of Piat Academy Chapter V Summary of Findings, Conclusion, and Recommendation
Summary and Findings Through the proposed systems, the solution is to secure the book file, data or records through making security confidential information by implementing a password which means that access to the system would be denied unauthorized person. The solution on how you save time inventorying the books and this can be done through the use of library information system by classifying the books according to author, and titles. In easy sorting the books the users can find the book by searching with the keyword, for instance it can allow the users to do rapid words searches to find the needed resources like who is the author and what is the title of the book. The solution for the loss or damage records of the books is done through verifying the name of the borrowers and by searching the availability of the books. If the borrowers cannot return it they can be given a penalty. The study provided more efficient and effective processing of data. And it would also make faster and easier generation of outputs. Conclusion Based on the findings of this study, the researchers conclude that library system brings many advantage for efficient processes and procedures. The researchers implement the library system for the following benefits.

Through the implementation of library system, the transaction is faster rather than using the manual operation. Retrieval of records is easier and faster. Can minimized time and effort during transaction. Records are stored permanently in a safe storage.
Recommendations After the development of the system the researchers had the following recommendation the system should be used to minimize time, effort and assure the accuracy in work. The security code should be kept secret. Each one who uses the system shall have his own work.

This form indicates you to Login form. As you can see there are three types of textboxes in the form. The first box given is to for you to input your username.
