Evaluation of the Triennium, 2010-2013

FRIDAY 16 AUGUST 2013 The evaluation of the triennium comprised 3 different elements: 1 A brief questionnaire administered to participants in the European Scout Symposium in April 2013, in Dublin. The recording was facilitated by coordinators and volunteers who work at Regional level as well as Regional staff. In total, 30 NSOs participated in the survey. The results are found at Appendix 1. 2 A record of the support provided to NSOs as part of the life of the Region. This is found, by year 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13, at Appendix 2. 3 An overview of participation levels in events organised or facilitated by the Region. This is found at Appendix 3.

What more can the Region do to promote this topic? Establish Network Meetings concerning youth matters. Youth empowerment is important for the age range 13-18. Support in order to make a peaceful transition to some acceptable percent of young people in national boards The Region is doing a very good job we are happy with this field (x 7) Communicate more directly with young people. It will increase the networking among young people Try to find (more) young people for the planning team of European events More feedback for Youth advisers on their inputs at different events Help countries in need of developing a leadership programme (possibly via the Leadership fund?). Set a step by step tool-kit on leadership programme

Networking, sharing of good practices and tailor support (x 6) The contact person system is helpful Easily adaptable Europe wide PR campaign for Scouting Growth as a theme, but not growth through quality We need adult volunteers to grow. Be clearer on what events are meant to assist on this area. Consultancy pool list to be completed Recruitment culture in local groups Maintain financial assistance and consultancy. Assist with partnerships within the Region - to bridge the gap between the East and West for instance. To organize a regional event on growth; to provide materials on this topic.
