St. Louis, MO The National Select 7on7 Championship Series is coming to St. Louis, MO Saturday, June 22, 2013 hosted by the St. Louis Metro Football Coaches Association (SLMFCA) at DeSmet Jesuit High School. Twenty-four teams from the state and region will go head-to-head in the SLMFCA 7on7 Midwest Qualifying Tournament. The level of play at the Qualifying Tournament will be exceptional with several Division 1 prospects battling it alongside their teammates for the win. Our 7on7 Tournament has been successful because of the quality teams that have participated with some very talented athletes, Larry Frost, Executive Director, St. Louis Metro Football Coaches, says. The tournament is very well organized and runs smoothly because of the help and participation of the St. Louis Metro Football Coaches Association and DeSmet Jesuit H.S. The sponsorship by the St. Louis Rams, Ameritime Financial, The National Football Foundation, The Graphic Edge, goNFP, Elite Fitness, and Xenith has also played an integral part in producing a first class 7on7 tournament. The 2013SLMFCA 7on7 Midwest Qualifying Tournament is preparing for a tough day of competition, with teams participating in pool play during the morning and finishing up the day with a singleelimination tournament. The winner of the Qualifying Tournament is invited to compete in the National Select 7on7 Championships presented by Under Armour held in Hoover, AL, July 24 - 26. Teams participating in the tournament should be prepared to play a minimum of 4 games with over half the teams advancing to play 5 or 6 games, Frost says. There will be 3 separate divisions; Gold, Silver, and Bronze each consisting of 8 teams who qualify from their perspective pools. There will be 3 championship games, with the Gold Division Champion qualifying to play in the National Select 7on7 Tournament in Hoover, Alabama. The National Select 7on7 Championship Series is the premier 7on7 in the Country. In its 11th year, the Select 7on7 Championship Series has seen a whos who of College and Professional Athletes compete in the Qualifying Tournaments and Championships. This Qualifying Tournament is one of 13 National Select 7on7 Qualifying Tournaments taking place this summer.
