I/Robotics/Memory Implants - With computers taking a global role in modern times with computers playing an important role in life; from the internet, to production factories, 3d/4d printers, artificial intelligence which may help us to advance in technology to expand out into the universe or turn and destroy their creators. The humans in the future will become half synthetic with the use of robotic body parts to having memory implants to better process and store knowledge, artificial lungs so theres no need to breath anymore. Small War/Militia/Terrorism/Religion/Abduction - Terrorism has become a main media focus for the past decade after the devastating attack on the twin towers in 2001. Since then most of the western world has committed its army forces to stamping out these terrorist, most are religious fanatics who want to attack the western society. Asteroids/Volcanos/Tsunamis/Global Warming/Solar Flares/Ice Age - With the recent news showing the close impact of an asteroid over Russia this may be an interesting topic to include into my science fiction drama. Evidence shows that we have also injured many ice ages since the beginning of our planet with the last being only 12,000 years ago. Immigration/Over Population/Food Shortages/ Lack of Fresh Water/Famine/Economic Climate The worlds population is getting to a breaking point with the population of the world tripling in the last hundred years. This is causing food shortages around the world with more and more land needed to be able to feed the worlds population.

Cloning/Artificial Meat/Genetically Designed Humans/Stem Cell Research - The recent uproar with not knowing whats in our food could reach new levels if humanity is able to create artificial meats in a laboratory, this will solve food shortages and clear farm land currently used for cattle. Cloning has also started to make an appearance with dolly the sheep hitting media news when she was cloned. This opens up doorways where we could clone animals/use DNA to reanimate previously extinct animals or some of our closest ancestors; the Neanderthal. Stem Cell Research will also play a big part in the future with them being used to fix spinal injuries or to even grow back limbs for people. Scientists are now able to create babies in the womb where the parents can chose hair/eye colour/gender. World War 3!!! Nuclear/Apocalyptic/Fuel Shortages/Eurozone Collapse - With 2 previous world wars in the past century as the world gradually becomes a smaller world to live in due to over population, food shortages and fresh water only accounting for 1% of the worlds water a future world war is inevitable. The production of nuclear weapons from the previous world war has made it a game changer with every country that holds nukes in its weapons arsenal is capable of causing mass damage; not just through the initial impact but through the nuclear fallout that follows it will almost wipe out all life on earth.
