Objectives
Course Need In preparation for Part I of the American Board of Urology (ABU) Qualifying Examination, and for the Re-certification Examination, residents and practicing urologists need to have basic urologic knowledge that would prepare them for the ABU examinations. To fulfill this need, the American Urological Association (AUA) developed this course to disseminate current urologic knowledge. Course Learning Objectives After completion of this course, you should be able to: review basic, generally-accepted urological practices for superior patient care discuss core knowledge of urology necessary for Part I of the American Board of Urology (ABU) qualifying examination and for the recertification examination. Target Audience Residents preparing for Part I of the ABU Qualifying Examination, and practicing urologists taking the Re-certification Examination. In-depth Meeting Syllabus The meeting syllabus is a comprehensive study guide, providing indepth review of every urologic subject and will be distributed free to all attending the course. After the course, a limited supply of the four-volume syllabus with a CD-ROM of the content of the four volumes will be available for $175.
CME Information
Accreditation Statement The American Urological Association (AUA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. The AUA takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity. Credit Designation Statement The AUA designates this educational activity for a maximum of 26.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Each physician should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. AUA Disclosure Policy As a provider accredited by the ACCME, the AUA must insure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all its sponsored activities. All faculty participating in an educational activity sponsored/provided by the AUA are required to disclose to the AUA any relevant financial relationships with any commercial interest to the provider.
