Simplified Visual Representation of the Enterprise Structure in SAP SD

Please go ahead and create the enterprise structure as discussed in the class today. The company code that we will be using is 1000 for this exercise. The configuration steps are defined at SAP SD Enterprise Structure Configuration Steps .(Scroll down to the bottom of the page to view the configuration steps ) Please answer the questions in this forum as comments.

Hi Siva, I was unable to get this exercise done because I did not attend Friday class due to planned travelling and I am still waiting for the recording of the class since you previously agreed to send it to me over the weekend. However, the weekend is almost over, but I did not receive any response from you yet for my e-mails and voice messages that are asking to e-mail me the recording of the calss. In case I will not get the material soon I will not be able to continue with the classes since I missed the beginning of this very important new subject. Thanks

Copied from Plant 1200 and Named ZMNJ Storage Location Copied SLoc 0001 Materiallager and Names ZMED Warehouse Copied warehouse 001 Central warehouse to ZEW (Z Edison Warehouse) Shipping Point Copied Shipping point 1000 shipping point Hamburg to ZMSP Assignments When I tried to assign Plant to Company code 1000 my plant was already assigned to company code 3000. Deleted this entry and created an entry for company code 1000 and plant ZMNJ Assign Sales Org to company code My sales org WMD1 was already assigned to company code 9090, I think its because I copied Sales Org from 0001 which is assigned to 9090 Deleting this entry and creating new entry for Sales Org WMD1 and CoCd 1000 There was no delete option so changed company code to 1000 Assign Distribution Channel to Sales Org This already existed. I could create a plant two ways define plant and then copy from one of the entries

copy,delete,check plant and copy from an existing plant. Are there any differences? -Ravi

Seems like a stretch!!

Can the same shipping point belong to multiple plants ? Yes. Different plants can sometimes be inthe same vicinity or region and share a shipping point.

Hi Siva, Based in Germany ZA is a wire and cable manufacturing company, they produce different kind of cables both for general customers and for corporate clients. ZA wire and cables have different product range like general wiring, telephone cables, power cables, auto cables etc. In March 2011 they have started business in US and set a new legal entity ZAUS, the nature of work of ZAUS is little bit different than ZACO. In US so many cable manufacturing companies are operating and there is so much demand of quality raw material for cable manufacturing, ZA cables find US market ideal for providing raw material, they are focusing just corporate clients in US and instead of manufacturing cables they are manufacturing raw material ie PVC compound and copper road for cable manufacturing companies. 1, I have created two companies ZACO germany and ZAUS USA. Sales Organization to Company Code 2, I have also created sales org ZSAG for company code ZACO for managing sales in Germany and ZLTD for company code ZAUS for managing sales in US. Plant to Company Code 3, Created plants PLBR for Berlin Germany and assigned this plant to company code ZACO(Germany). Plant PLNY is created for US New York and assigned it company code ZAUS. Distribution Channel to Sales organization 4, I have created three different dis channels, w7= wholesale, RE= Retail and CO=Corporate. I have assigned all three channels to sales org ZAAG Germany because ZAAG is dealing both corporate and genral clients. For sales ZLTD (US) I have only assigned dis channel CO since they are just providing raw material to corporate clients. Division to Sales Organization 5, I have created different divisions ie
