Shaikh Muhammad al-Mawlood al-Tijani, a spiritual guide who resides in the Hijaz, gives a general ijaza for this salutation and advises both his students and guests to be steadfast in reciting it 50 times every Friday. Shaikh Idris al-Iraqi, a Hadith scholar from Morocco, emphatically states that all who visit the beloved Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) in the citadel should recite this salutation 100 times before raising ones hands in humble entreaty. Allhumma salli al sayyidin Muhammadini-l ftihi lim ughliq, wa-l khtimi lim sabaq, nsiri-l haqqi bi-l haqq, wa-l hdi il sirtika-l mustaqm, wa al lihi haqqa qadrihi wa miqdrihi-l azm. O Allah, bless our liege-lord Muhammad who opened what was closed and who sealed what had gone before; he makes the Truth Victorious by the Truth and he is the guide to thy straight path; and bless his household as it befits his immense stature and splendour. And Allah is the Guide.
