Introduction
As per the course requirement of our BBA Program E-commerce and e-banking (F#404) we have studied the annual reports of bdjobs.com. We have analyzed the process posting advertisement, creating account by the job seekers, training system, recruiting process of bdjobs.com. Actually this is the best recruitment website in Bangladesh. We have compared our theoretical knowledge & our learning from ecommerce system. It will help us to know more about usage of technology mediated communication. It also stretches our domain of knowledge by providing views and ideas on different factors & application of e-commerce and e-recruitment and these are helpful for effectively & efficiently using technology as communication tool. E-commerce is a type of industry where buying and selling of product or service is conducted over electronic systems such as the Internet and other computer networks. Electronic commerce draws on technologies such as mobile commerce, electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data collection systems. Modern electronic commerce typically uses the World Wide Web at least at one point in the transaction's life-cycle, although it may encompass a wider range of technologies such as e-mail, mobile devices social media, and telephones as well. Electronic commerce is generally considered to be the sales aspect of e-business. It also consists of the exchange of data to facilitate the financing and payment aspects of business transactions. This site also helps employers to manage many of their tasks associated with traditional recruiting process more efficiently and allow them to save time and money. In this section of the report we will focus on the process of submitting resume as well as posting job circulation.

How to submit your resume?


The process of submitting your resume at bdjobs.com is relatively very easy. First of all, you have to create an account, which will keep record of your activities in this website, at the website. This is named MY BDJOBSaccount by the website. Simply click the create new account link or post resume option at home page. Then you have to go through five consecutive steps to submit your resume. The bdjobs.com site will guide you to submit your resume through five consecutive steps.

You have to fill up at least first two steps to submit your resume. Details of these steps are given below1. Personal: Here you have to give information on personal detail, career and application information,preferred job category, preferred job location(s), preferred organization type(s),other relevant information. Personal detail includes name, parents name, date of birth, address both present and permanent, nationality, gender, contact number, email etc. In the next section you have to give detail about your objective, experience, present and expected salary and you also have to specify the type of job you prefer. Freshers leave or skip this option blank or enter 0. Preferred job category represents your desired sector(s) to work. You can select maximum 2 job categories. In the next section preferred job location defines the geographical place where you prefer to work. In case of Bangladseh you can choose upto maximum 15 districts. If you prefer abraod, you can select maximum 10 countries. Preferred organization defines your desired organization type where you want your job.You can select maximum 12 organization types. In other relevant information you have to give keyword. Keywords that will enhance your CV Searched by the Employers. Now you can go to next step by giving the user name and password. 2. Education: Education field must be filled up with latest information about the academic life. Here last level of education must be filled. Exam details also to be mentioned e. g. degree title, institution name, year of passing, CGPA etc. Mentioning achievements is not mandatory but it carries some extra advantage. There is also another field named training. If you take part in any special training either academic or professional, you can mention it with title, training session, institution etc.

3. Employment: Previous employment details can be mentioned here. Employment details must be mentioned with company name, company business, location, position, department, responsibilities. Area of experience must be mentioned. 4. Others:This portion has three fields. At first, area of specialization must be mentioned with specific field and skills gathered. Then language proficiency should be mentioned with reading, writing and speaking skills. At last, referrence should be mentioned with name, organization, designation, address, mobile number, relation etc. 5. Photograph: CV holder may upload a picure of his or her own in JPEG format which size should be 15 or under 15 kilobyte. Applying to a Job: To apply a job you must have your resume account in bdjobs.com web site. Follow the steps to apply any job: 1. Click apply onlinebutton. 2. You will be asked to type your user name and password. After typing those click on apply online button. 3. Now the system will ask you to put your expected salary. Then type the figure and click on proceed to apply button Editing and Deleting: After submitting the resume you may need to edit the resume. To edit your resume follow the steps: 1. Login to your MY BDJOBS account using your user name and password. 2. After successful login, click edit resume option. 3. Now, choose any part of your resume to edit. 4. After modifying information click on Submit button. After login to your MY BDJOBS account click on the option Delete Resume. You are then ask to type your User Name and Password. After typing those click on the Delete button. Your resume will be deleted from bdjobs.com. You dont have to pay any cost to submit your resume at bdjobs.com. It is absolutely free.

Keyword search It is a special job searching option with a specific word. Go to the Keyword search section and type the desired word(s) in the box (e.g., 'oracle', 'financial analyst' etc.) and click on the search button. You will be directed to a job list page with job ads carrying that particular word. Block Employer You may not want your current employer or some specific employers to have access to your resume.Follow the steps to block any/specific employer to access your resume: 1. Login to your MY BDJOBS account. 2. Click Block Employer option. 3. Select the option Block Employer from the list. 4. Now, select employers name from the list at left and click Block button. Your selectedemployers name will be shifted to the right blocked employer list. 5. Click on Submit button. The selected employer will not be able to subscribe your resume. Job Agent The Job Agent is a special facility designed for the job seekers to let them inform about prospective jobs published in bdjobs.com website. The agent will pick up all the matching jobs according to stipulated criteria and return them in MY BDJOBS account. Thus, it reduces hassle by figuring out suitable jobs from a huge job listing. You can create more than one Job Agent. Follow the steps to create a Job Agent: 1. Login to your MY BDJOBS account. 2. Click on Manage Agent. 3. Now, click Create New Job Agent button. 4. Provide a name for job agent in Agent Name field. 5. Select Category.

6. Put Experience (Minimum and Maximum experience). 7. Select Organization Business Type and also Work Area from the list. 8. Click Finish button.

Tracking visitors You can also track those who has viewed your resume. Login to your MY BDJOBS account and there you will find an option total number of companies viewed my resume and a numeric figure next to it. The numeric figure represents the number of employers viewed your resume. To get their list click on the number. Keep in track of applied job You can keep track of job(s) you have applied so far.Login to your MY BDJOBS account and you will find an option number of jobs applied inlast six months and a numeric figure next to it. Click on the numeric figure and you will haveyour last six months applied job listing. Sending resume through e-mail You can e-mail your resume from your MY BDJOBS account. Just login to your MY BDJOBS account and click e-mail resume option. E-mail notification E-mail Notification is a process to inform you about the services of bdjobs.com through e-mail. Taking printout of resume You can take printout of your submitted resume. Go through the steps to take print out of your submitted resume: 1. Login to your MY BDJOBS account. 2. Click View Resume option. 3. The printable version of your resume will appear. 4. Click on File menu, and then click Print option.
