AP HUMAN GEOGRAPHY SUMMER ASSIGNMENT

Part I: Physical Geography (100 points total)

Physical geography is the "skeleton" on which Human Geography hangs. Use an atlasbook or online to find the locations. Here are online examples: http://worldatlas.com
http://www.nationalgeographic.com/xpeditions/atlas/ http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl You can also buy an atlas at any bookstore or a place like Wal-Mart for $10-$15. Here is a good website for blank outline maps: https://geography.byu.edu/Pages/Resources/outlineMaps.aspx

DIRECTIONS: Identify the following locations and correctly outline, label and color them on the maps provided. Your color choices should reflect the colors of the natural landscape, for example, oceans should be blue. Also your physical maps should show the outline of the borders between countries. You will be quizzed on these locations when you arrive in August. If a map is too small to fit everything on it you can make copies to spread the locations out a little bit.
