Environmental Studies

Gain essential knowledge of the environmental industry with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from University College, where classes are available on campus, online, or in a combination of both. An Environmental Studies major enables you to effectively problem-solve and make informed decisions, and with a focus on environmental studies youll develop skills in reporting, permitting, natural resource management, pollution control, energy and sustainability, and waste management. University College provides an interdisciplinary approach to observing, understanding, and reacting to environmental issues. The environmental studies degree prepares students to thoroughly understand environmental systems and meet the demands of this rapidly changing industry, as well as assess, analyze, summarize, and transform data into useful information and knowledge. Youll master policy and decision-making techniques as they apply to the complexities of the environment, plus learn how to creatively utilize varying technologies and research to develop solutions to real-world environmental problems. COMBINED BACHELORS AND MASTERS Students who major in environmental studies and wish to simultaneously pursue a master's degree in Environmental Policy and Management will have the opportunity to join the combined degree programa unique dual experience offered by University College. By substituting two graduate courses for two undergraduate courses, students reduce the total time and money spent on their degrees.
