This course presents basic management principles and theory, including the history, progress and functions of management. LEARNING OUTCOMES AND ASSESSMENT: GENERAL EDUCATION COMPETENCIES: General education courses must meet at least four out of the five following outcomes. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE STUDENTS: All assigned textbook readings, tests, and assignments are to be completed by the published due date. Late assignments will not be accepted and any missed assignments will result in a zero for the assignment. Please refer to the class schedule and calendar for due dates and times. This class utilizes Canvas, Edisons learning management tool. All assignment descriptions and rubrics are found through Canvas. Students will submit all assignments through Canvas and will receive grades and feedback from the instructor through Canvas.

ATTENDANCE POLICY: Attendance is mandatory for this course and is a critical component to success. Each week, a participation grade will be awarded based on attendance and participation in class discussions and activities.
