An “Eye” for a
Masterpiece
WORDS BY RAY CHRIS SECUANDO
After the Muses showed off their skills as renowned female artists of Zamboanga, the
Gallery of the Peninsula and Archipelago introduces Zamboanga's very own Michelangelo – Isidro
M. Floreta. His 3rd solo art show is entitled “Level Eye”.
When he was still a student of architecture in WMSU, he already showed interest in art.
Although he was not able to finish school, he pursued his passion for art. He was supposed to be part
of last year's exhibit at the gallery but unfortunately, his artworks were not finished on time for the
exhibit until recently.
He donated 24 artworks at the gallery plus 15 new artworks and formed his “Level Eye”
exhibit. His love for Zamboanga can be seen in his works. It is said that this love of his is the reason
why this exhibit exist. It was also introduced in celebration of the Fiesta Pilar. Curator of the
The Muses'
gallery, Ms. Trisha Mae Manulong said that this exhibit is fitting for Fiesta Pilar because the
artworks speak about Zamboanga itself.
Stroke To think that Zamboanga gives birth to very talented artists is something that we should be
proud of. So, why not take time off from your busy schedules and have a tour at our very own
gallery to see the works of Mr.
Floreta.
