I believe that the ability to invent, innovate and discover is the foundation for success.

I have always been driven by the desire to create, to experiment and go beyond the passive acquisition of knowledge. I come from a family that has been successfully running an engineering conglomerate for over 2 decades now. As a child I was exposed to various technological concepts and applications which inspired me to pursue a career in engineering. My aim has always been to join the family business and contribute my knowledge & expertise to it. Hence, I chose to major in Production Engineering at the undergraduate level to ensure a sound technological base. Today, the fields of Engineering and Technology are continuously changing to accommodate new concepts and applications. These fields when combined with management give rise to a vast application potential. The immense possibility of Business Interchange and the instant knowledge of the outcome that stimulates one for further analysis is what I find most appealing about management. Hence, I intend to pursue my masters in Engineering Management. In my undergraduate study, I benefited from the breadth of ----- Universitys syllabi content that has given me a comprehensive exposure to the core areas of Production Engineering and a strong conceptual understanding of the same. During the course of study I was exposed to Machine Drawings, Electrical circuits & machines, Thermo dynamics, design of machine elements, manufacturing processes, MIS, Production & Operations management and many more interesting subjects. I was involved in a lot of projects during my undergraduate study. I did a mini project on Comparative Study of Kandasri Sugar Mill with Large Scale Sugar Mill and its Feasability. The final year curriculum demanded a project on a bigger scale. In this regard I was part of a project on A Survey on Quality problems in Small Scale Industries. The project was highly appreciated by our project guide and external evaluator as well. To enhance my detailed knowledge of Production engineering and to keep up with the changing trends, I interned with my family run engineering conglomerate- HYQUIP Group thrice in various departments. HYQUIP Group is a professionally managed engineering conglomerate

with diversified activities in bulk solids material handling solutions, flow control products, dust & odour control systems, solar power and municipal solid waste processing technologies. The group serves as an original equipment manufacturer & EPC contracting company with a strong presence in various sectors like steel, power, cement, paper, sugar and minerals. Apart from being an established player in the Indian market, Hyquip has its footprint in Middle East and South East Asia. After successfully completing my undergraduation, I worked full time in a key position at Hyquip Group for a year. It was during this time that I realized that though my undergraduate study helped me gain the necessary technical knowledge; there was still a lot that I had to learn to professionally manage the business. This made me determined to learn the management skills so as to handle projects and people in a better way. Hence, I decided to pursue my Masters in Engineering Management.

All through my school and college life I have been involved in various extra-curricular activities. I have not just participated in many competitions but have also organized them. I am passionate about sports like cricket and badminton and have participated in many inter-college competitions. During my undergraduation, I was part of a team that organized a cultural festival in our campus that won accolades from not just our college but also from other colleges. This experience taught me various management aspects like working in a team, planning, organizing etc. My objectives of joining a Masters in Engineering Management are very clear-cut. I want to hone my intellectual abilities; to acquire in-depth competence in my stream of engineering; to develop individuality and to expand my horizons of knowledge. My aim is to contribute my gained advanced knowledge for the benefit of my family-run Engineering conglomerate (Hyquip Group).
