STS. PETER AND PAUL FAST: STS. Peter and Paul Fast begins on Monday July 1st. Please make an effort to Fast for this two week period lasting until the feast day celebration on Friday July 12th. GENERAL CONFESSION: Sunday July 7th beginning at 9:30 AM Father John will serve the service of General Confession. Please be prompt so you can take advantage of the Sacrament of Repentance. FEAST OF NATIVITY OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST: On Sunday July 7th we will celebrate the birth of St. John the Baptist. Please make an effort to be with us on this day to celebrate this feast day of the Orthodox Church.

STS. PETER AND PAUL FEASTDAY: On Friday July 12th the Holy Orthodox Church on the Old Calendar celebrates the feast day of STS. Peter and Paul. Please join us on this day to celebrate the Divine Liturgy in honor of these two great saints. SPECIAL THANKS: We are grateful to all those who offered their time and talents to make our Annual Picnic a huge success. To Matushka Ludmila for baking her delicious cakes, Matushka Donnalynn, Nadja Schmidt and Fred Schmidt, Cousin Cliff for preparing our luncheon. Also to Matushka Donnalynn for preparing a Fourth of July basket full of goodies for a raffle and Johanna Baronowsky for her generous gift of Shop Rite Gift Cards and a donation for food supplies. Without these people always being there to offer their time and talents to our church we would not be able to have these monthly social events. Thank You to the faithful who made an effort to be with us for this parish social event. DISTINGUISHED DIOCESAN DONORS: His Grace Bishop Michael began this initiative to support the many different projects in our diocese. PARISH HOME HALL FOR RENT: Do you have a special occasion coming up? A Birthday Party, Christening, or Wedding! What better place then to celebrate it in our newly renovated parish home facility. Please see Protodeacon John or Matushka Ludmila to reserve a date. SPONSORS FOR NEWSLETTER: Would you like to sponsor the newsletter for a month? It seems that we are having a wonderful response to our plea for sponsors for the monthly newsletter so we are beginning with the month of July. We now have August and December left for sponsorships for 2013. Donation for a month is $25. On the Candle desk will be a sign up sheet to reserve your month. Please help us by reserving a month to remember a special day or loved ones! SUMMER IS HERE: Vacation time is a time to enjoy! The weather is great and the cool waters of the ocean beckon us. Some of us might decide to go fishing or play a round of golf rather than find time for Our Lord. Let us not forget that church services are still held each and every Sunday at 10 AM. We need to make a conscientious effort to take an hour out of our time each and every Sunday to be with Our Lord. SAVE THE DATE: His Grace Bishop Michael will be with us on the weekend of September 21st and 22nd to celebrate our patronal feastday.
