There is nothing quite like the bond between father and son, so especially the case between Jehovah

God and Jesus. When Jehovah sent down his only begotten Son for the benefit of sinful mankind, he knew that Jesus would die a painful death, could Jesus be sure that God would remember him? Lets have a look at Jesus own words in Luke 23:46, this passage was noted when he was on the torture stake and these were his final words before he died: (READ) Yes, Jesus was so sure that he would be resurrected, that his Father wouldnt allow him to stay in the grave. In fact, Peter said in Acts 2:31, perhaps we can read that together: (READ) So Jesus body didnt even have chance to decay in the grave. Before all this happened, Jesus assured his disciples that he would not stay dead for long, he said that he would be killed, and on the third day be raised up. Jesus knew precisely when Jehovah would take action, and had so much confidence in his promise. While Jesus was dead, his body was removed from the stake and transferred to a tomb, it was then closed up by rolling a huge stone in front of the entrance, and men were positioned outside on guard by order of the priests who had overheard that Jesus would be resurrected, they were suspicious of the disciples, thinking they would steal the body and then claim that he was resurrected. This was on the third day, and just as Jehovah had said, he took action. The ground started to shake, there was a flash of light that lit up the darkness, the guards are frozen in fear. In front of them was an angel of Jehovah. The angel moved towards the tomb, and rolled away the stone. The tomb was empty. What had happened? Hopefully we Acts 2 still open, and if we look at the next two verses, 32,33. (READ) Just as Jehovah had promised, he resurrected Jesus, he did not forget his beloved Son. When the disciples learned of this, they began telling everyone that God raised Jesus up from the dead. Even when those that were opposed locked them up, threatened them, beat them, even had some of them killed, they did not stop, they kept on preaching, they know that if they die, that Jehovah will remember them and resurrect them in due time. What an attitude to have! We have no need to fear man, when we are in the ministry or from day to day life representing our Heavenly Father, we do well to remember the words in Matthew 10:28 (READ) Yes, lets try and imitate Jesus and his disciples, we have no need to be afraid, if we should even die, we know that Jehovah will remember us, just as he remembered his Son.
