It is nice to learn that you are shortly visiting J&K state to inaugurate certain infrastructural projects in the state aimed at improving the connectivity of Kashmir valley with rest of our country. A move that we expect should help strengthen, further, the centuries old socio-cultural-religious-literary-political bonds of Kashyap Reshis Valley with rest of Bharat Mata. Sir, we convey our sincere congratulations to your government for the same. At the same time, our Internally Displaced community who continues to be in forced exile, having been uprooted from our over five thousand years old roots (because of rise of Islamic terrorism in the valley way back in 1989/90), would like to share some of our legitimate concerns and expectations as well, so that the situation improves in the valley and that encourages our minority Hindu-Pandit community to return to our ancestral homeland in near future. Sir, we appreciate the fact that your govt. had announced certain socio-economical package in this direction some years back. But, that being inadequate and bereft of any concrete constitutional / political guarantees to address the most vital issue of our genocide, has remained a non-starter. Even, the employment-package (a component of the same), though conditional and violating the fundamental rights of the prospective candidates / employees, has largely remained on the drawing table only till date. outskirts of Jammu, are constantly facing 18-20 hr power cut ; acute scarcity of drinking water and other day to day problems. The township has virtually become a burning pyre for the exiled inmates because of the same. And, therefore , needs governments immediate attention.

We are hereby attaching a brief synopsis of Panun Kashmir highlighting our major concerns and the ground realities that have been existing and/or exist in the state, especially in the Valley, as of now. The same is appended, at the end, with some of our immediate suggestions (including pertaining to much neglected cultural-literary areas), that merit governments serious attention in the larger interest of our country. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Sh.T.K.A. Nair, IAS, your worthy adviser, for giving us a patient hearing yesterday when a four-member delegation of senior functionaries of our organization met with him and apprised Sh. Nair about the overall /prevailing scenario and for having graciously consented to our request to draw your kind attention to the issues concerning our state in general and our exiled community in particular. Lastly, we earnestly request for a meeting with your honble self to enable us to make a detailed presentation of our legitimate concerns, urges and aspirations, preferably before your proposed visit to the state later this month.
