Youre Not Alone


Beginning Saturday, July 13, 5-6 p.m. at St. Paul
Ever have questions about faith, feel alone in your struggles, want to have a closer relationship with God? While all are welcome, this group is encouraging our young singles to come together in conversation and study of scripture. Becca Dress and Pastor Chris invite you to our first 6 session exploration of The Tough Questions of Faith. We will look at How could God allow suffering and evil? on July 13th, and then the group will formulate the questions for the next sessions. Friends and people not connected to the congregations are welcome, so invite!

Church Medical Kit Training


Following Sunday Worship at both St. John and St. Paul on Sunday, July 21st
We would like to train as many people as possible for using our medical kit which includes a glucose monitor and other items (AEDs are back-ordered, so that training will come later). Please plan to stay 30-45 minutes. Many thanks to Fran Chapman for coordinating this effort, to the donations of suppliers, and to her family for helping with the costs.

Vacation Bible School at Tall Timbers Campground


July 22 26, 9-noon, ages preschool through Jr. High
We need YOU! We still need a volunteer to lead the preschool/kindergarten group from one activity to another. You will have a JR High assistant. Additional volunteers are needed to work with our group leaders as assistants. If you can only attend a few days of the week we would love to have you join us! Shall We Gather at the Shelter?


Tall Timbers Camp Ground Joint Worship and Only Worship on July 28th Sunday, July 28, 9:30 a.m. Gospel Hymn Sing, 10:00 Worship, 11:00 Picnic Potluck
Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and Lemonade provided. You are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert, and lawn chairs are optional Tall Timbers welcomes you to stay and go swimming or use the playground after the picnic. Back Up Plan in case of rain is to move the worship to St. Paul.

Daybreak 2013, Doing a New Thing

A Lutheran gathering and Mission Training Event! Everyone is encouraged to come council members, outreach teams, youth groups, families, individuals, even pastors Saturday is the main event day with a keynote speaker and workshops. St. Paul and St. John Youth and families are invited to go to the waterpark for the discounted rate of $30.00 each on Friday, and then to the ReWind Concert. (See Youth-DYO in this newsletter. New Member/Discipleship Information Luncheons


Sunday, August 4th at St. Paul (11:45 a.m.); Sunday, August 11th at St. John (12:00 p.m.)
Those who are interested in knowing more about our side-by-side ministry are invited to participate in both lunches. Those who would like to become members or associate members (esp. those who are seasonal) will be received into membership on August 18 th. If you would like to become a member or associate member (retain current membership at home congregation, but be active here, except for voting), and these dates will not work for you, please see Pastor Chris.

Annual Mudhens Baseball Outing!

Tickets are $9.00. Sign up on our Events Board or contact Steve Young, 419-307-0366, by July 21st. Well leave from St. Paul at 4:30 p.m. Pastor Claude is joining us for his first American Baseball Game!

Welcoming Our Intern!


Sunday, September 15th at both worship services, followed by joint lunch at St. Paul
Intern Aaron and his wife Sunny will move to the Peninsula the first week of September. Aaron will begin on Tuesday, September 10th. On Sunday, September 15th, there will be a joint Meet

& Greet luncheon and Gift Card Shower following St. Paul Worship that day. More information to come.
