Project Description: Karnataka Restructured Accelerated Power Development & Reform Program (RAPDRP) is sponsored by Ministry of Power (Govt. Of India) and implemented for 5 (five) Karnataka Electricity Supply Companies with the primary objective to reduce advanced technical and commercial (AT&C) losses. The project involves implementation of varied COTS product to manage Metering, Billing, Collection, Asset & Maintenance Management and integration of these products with GIS, Outage Management and Enterprise Content Management solution, including a robust document management solution. Role Description: Developer Solution Environment and tools: Java, JMS,RAD, Websphere, WPS, WID About Middleware Orchestration & ESB: Middleware is the backbone of Integration layer to provide seamless & fast integration facility to various modules. Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) is a middleware infrastructure component that supports the implementation of SOA within an enterprise. ESB supports SOA by: Decoupling the consumers view of a service from the actual implementation of the service Decoupling technical aspects of service interactions Integrating and managing services in the enterprise Responsibilities: Involved in design and development of Integration Middleware using WID. Involved in developing proof of concept and identify key solution capability provided by the solution. Module Description #3A: A back end job for reconciliation & informing administrator for the payment failure occurred between payment gateway, WSS client & CCB for various scenarios. Module Description #3B: A back end job to convert an input CSV/XML file to generate LSM file to comply with already built in solution. Performance was the utmost requirement as number of CSV/XML files used to be in lacs. Module Description #3C: A testing tool to check whether web services are working fine.
