Good academic writing is clean statement about a main point of what he or she is writing about, so the audience will read it with enthusiasm. The writers have to state clearly and directly on what they are writing. They should start the introduction with long or short sentence to interest the readers. The papers should have a specific theme and the words appropriate in academic English. The writers should use the five-W question (who, why, where, what, when) for the readers to get a better comprehension of the writing. The writers should not ask a question in the conclusion; instead, they should restate the thesis statement in the concluding sentence. Readers always expect writers to clearly state their topic and observe the principles of academic writing. Three of the most important principle includes sentence construction, spelling, and grammar. Sentence construction is the building of a sentence, and there are four main problems that prevent writing complete, grammatically correct sentence. These include incorrect sentence construction, such as sentence fragment, run-on sentence, subject-verb agreement, and parallel structure. If the writers use wrong sentence construction, the entire sentence will be completely confusing for the readers. These are the writers should avoid sentence fragment, which are incomplete sentences and therefore not grammatically correct. Run-on sentences and parallel structure problems are also unbalanced sentences. Subject-verb agreement means singular subject should have singular verb and plural should have plural verb. The writers cant become

Lun good academic writing unless they can correctly use sentence construction. Making sense of the whole paragraph or essay depends on the sentence construction. Sometimes the spoken word is difficult to translate into correct spelling. Therefore, the writer has to make sure that the word he or she is using fits the meaning of the writing. Some words sound the same as writing, but they are spelled differently. The writers need to spell correctly to achieve good academic writing; unless correct spelling is used, the entire sentence will have a completely different meaning from what he or she intended. Use the dictionary definitions of words as much as often as possible it adds meaning and gives the correct spelling. When in doubt, check the spelling so the writers wont have any incorrect spelling. The readers are reading what is in the writers paper, and if the writer has wrong spelling, they cant figure out what the words the writer actually meant to use. Spelling is the meaning of the words and also helps provide meaning for the paper. Grammar is the structure of language and also calls for specific language. Grammar involves types of words and word groups that make up a sentence. Languages are teaching by using proper grammar, which helps the reader comprehend to the word meaning. In grammar, eight parts of speech are including as well, and the writer always need to remember those eight part of speech are verb, noun, pronoun, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection in order to correctly construct sentences. If grammar is not used correctly, the sentence will be confusing for the reader. Grammar is meaningful, and if the writer does not use proper grammar, such as subject-verb agreement, pronoun-antecedent agreement, and pronoun reference, it will make the sentence meaningless.

There could be a better way to create good academic writing, but all the above reasons I provide can help the writer reach good academic writing. The writer always needs to write in

Lun professional form, such as using appropriate words, one thought for the whole sentence, so the reader will understand clearly. Last year, one of my English teachers was really good at

academic writing, and she always revised my papers for me. Even if it was really make sense for me, she changed it anyway because my paper wasnt an example of good academic writing. All of the above explanations show that if the writers use proper sentence construction, spelling, and grammar, they can achieve good academic writing.
