Burres-to-be Update
Youth Missions International [July 2013]

What is BASE Sports Ministry?

Soccer. Volleyball. Cheer. Baseball. Sports stories. Bible stories. THE GOSPEL.
BASE Sports Ministry has officially launched and preparations for ministry next summer have already begun. BASE will be a division of YMI based out of Colorado Springs and will run all of YMIs domestic sports ministry. The goal of BASE is to use sports to reach out to the communities in and around the local church. We want to support the church by using sports as a tool. BASE will have many different types of sports ministries such as summer camps, leagues, tournaments, and weekly ministry. Our aim is to equip churches to use sports ministry to reach out to their community and share the Gospel with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Support
As we begin our life together as full-time faith-supported missionaries, we would love to invite you to partner with us financially. For more information about how to support us monthly, please email Morgann at morgann@ymimissions.org

Nathans Update
Sports camp have been going for 4 weeks no. In total, we have 18 this summer and 9 have been completed so far. Over 350 kids have attended camps and all of them have heard the Gospel! I expect to reach another 300 kids or more throughout the rest of the summer. At this point the feedback form churches has been good and the busiest time is behind us. I am now beginning the transition to BASE so that when Morgann and I get married and move I will be able to work from Salem. Im very excited to see how God works through sports to reach people for His kingdom in the coming years.
I have been working on our housing situation in Salem for August. We drove down to Salem on July 1st to look at apartments and we got a call TODAY that we have been approved! We will be living at Overlook Pointe Apartments while I am in school at Corban. God provided a ideal housing situation that we didnt think existed and we are praising Him for His provision.

Whats next?
We are busy here with YMI and we are looking forward to some upcoming events in the beginning of 2013! July 8-12: 2 Church Sports Camps (WA) July 13-22: Awana Camp Promo (NC) July 27-Aug. 3: Awana Camp Promo (WA) August 1-4: YMI Team Training (MO, CA) August 10: BURRES WEDDING!!

Morganns Update

My summer has been pretty busy between ministry and wedding planning! Lately, I have been traveling to promote YMI at Awana camps all over the nation. Next week I am off to North Carolina! I am also busy securing details for training camps coming up next monthtraining sites, cooks, team leaders, etc. It certainly keeps me busy! Amidst all of that, Nathan and I are preparing for a marriage which is time consuming and so very rewarding. I could not be more thankful to be marrying Nathan. We are enjoying the way God is teaching us even in this organized chaos. We are learning to rely on His provision, to invest in our relationship with Him first and to value our marriage far more than our wedding. Thank you for supporting us!

Pray that kids would come to know Christ through sports camps this summer. So far, God has allowed over 250 kids to hear the Gospel through this ministry. 3.
