who share a set of the same value; such as understood or basic value and assumption, ways of communicating and ways of assessing those goals. Linguist, John Swales defined discourse communities as a group that has the same goals or purposes and use communication to achieve these goals. He defines six characteristics of a discourse community. First, characteristic is having a broad agreed set of common public goals. Second, it has mechanisms of intercommunication among its members. Third, the discourse community uses its participatory mechanisms primarily to provide information and reed back. Fourth, the community utilizes and possesses one or more genres in the communicative furtherance of its aims. Fifth, in addition to owning genres, it has acquired some specific lexis. Sixth, it has a threshold level of members with a suitable degree of relevant content and discourses expertise. The language used or genres by communities can be described as a register or diatype and members generally join a discourse community through training or personal persuasion. In the community of (United Parcel Service) there are drivers that deliver merchandise all over the world. It also keeps our economy flowing. UPS drivers wear brown uniforms and they drive brown delivery trucks. They tend to look fit because of all the walking, lifting, and driving. Each driver has to complete a special education program in which they learn special terminology. UPS drivers communicate by radio, text, and cellphones. When customers are unavailable, the UPS

Some requirements for employment with UPS are that road drivers and city drivers must be 21 years old. The members of this community are the students and the teachers of the classes. They tend to look scared because of math tests they have be taken. These members wear normal clothes and shoes, and talk in terms of math. Some examples are inductive and deductive reasoning, irrational number, and De Morgans laws. They also talk by email, note, text, and by textbooks. This course develops the ability to organize mathematical skills and technology to solve problems at levels found in non-mathematical and intensive programs. She is the leader of the community and is elected by the president of the college. The goals of the math community is to educate and learn. Teaching mathematics is one of the most important parts of this discourse community. Teachers teach our future presidents, doctors, nurses, and lawyers. Some of the industries affected by UPS and the math communities are automobiles, consumer services, government and defense, technology, industry, manufacturing, professional services and retail, In the UPS discourse community, the president is the leader and in community the teacher is the leader. He or she obtain his position by vote of the people .The goals of the president and the teacher are similar. U PS delivers the packages at a proper time to their customer and the teacher teaches wisdom, to their students. These are valuable assets for the community that we want to improve in our society.
