RESEARCH EVENTS The University hosts exciting research events throughout the year. This provides an opportunity for the scholars to find out more about the corporate world, national & global socio political scenario, and the latest development in the field of science and technology. ACADAMIC EXCELLENCE CENTRE The centre provides an excellent opportunity to participate in seminars and workshops on the contemporary business environment and offers access to top of the line database and opportunity to interact with business leaders and successful entrepreneurs, researcher, scientists and technocrats. RESEARCH GUIDES The University has Research Guides of profound eminence in its panel. The allotment/allocation of guide shall not be left to the individual student or teacher. The allocation of the guide for the selected student shall be decided by the department in a formal manner depending on the number of students per faculty member, the availability of faculty members with required specialization and the research interest of the student, as indicated during interview by the student. RESEARCH COORDINATOR To facilitate the scholars to launch themselves on an academic career path the Research Coordinator of the University will eagerly provide the support and guidance for identification of Research Guide and access to resources for research. THE STEPS TO ENROL FOR RESEARCH APPLY FOR ENROLMENT Eligibility: 55% marks in the Post Graduate Degree examination in the respective subject. Candidates, qualified as CA, ICWA, CS, and CFA. The application form on the prescribed proforma, available in the University office (or downloaded from the University website) is to be filled up and submitted to the university along with two copies of the synopsis on the chosen research topic. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The candidates selected after screening and found eligible will be required to appear at the Entrance Test as per the schedule announced by the University. INTERVIEW/PERSONAL DISCUSSION The candidates successful in the Entrance Test will be invited to the University to attend an interview and one to one discussion. APPEARING BEFORE RDC The selected candidate will be invited to appear along with his/her Research Guide before the Research Degree Committee (RDC) consisting of subject experts. The candidates are required to make a presentation of their synopsis. The candidates found suitable will be allowed to proceed further with their research work. SEMESTER - I The date for starting of semester classes will be announced by the University and the research scholars will be required to attend the classes regularly. Semester - I will consist of three papers. i. Research Methodology ii. ICT Lab Work iii. Course Work related to thesis writing. At the end of the semester-I, the research scholars will be required to appear for the Semester-I Examination and practical examination as per the date announced by the University. The examination will also include the presentation of the dissertation related to the course work of the thesis and submission of assignments. PUBLICATION The research scholars, successfully clearing the semester-I examination will be required to publish two to three papers in international / national journals of repute (journals whose names appear in the Abstract of Journals). PRESENTATION OF THESIS / SEMINAR. The research scholars will be required to make a presentation of their Ph.D. thesis before the respective Deans, other faculty members and the scholars. SUBMISSION OF Ph.D. THESIS The maximum period permitted for the submission of Ph.D. thesis for a candidate shall normally be five years from the date of provisional registration. It shall be essential for a candidate to submit the thesis within three/five years from the date of provisional registration, otherwise, the registration shall automatically be cancelled after due date. Extension can be granted under discretion of Academic Council /BRS for a maximum of two more years. No more extension shall be provided under any circumstances after the final due date. The Ph.D. thesis is to be submitted along with synopsis, summary and a panel of examiners suggested by the Research Guide. SCREENING OF Ph.D. THESIS The Ph.D. thesis will be sent to three examiners for evaluation. After approval report from the examiners, the research scholar will be called for attending the viva-voce examination to defend his or her Ph.D. thesis in front of two examiners. After successful completion of viva-voce all reports including that on the viva-voce will be sent to the Academic Council of the University for approval.
AWARD OF THE Ph.D. DEGREE Once the Academic Council grants its approval, the University will award Ph.D to the successful research scholar.
