1 Some animals are black. Some are brown or white. Some are greenish.

Others are a

combination of black and white or brown and white. These colors help animals blend with their surroundings, thus protecting them from their enemies. A frog's color helps it hide from its predators. The tiger's stripes blend with the vertical lines of the grass. The dark stripes help the tiger hide from its enemies. The colors of some animals protect them from their enemies or predators. The colors of the animals make them attractive. Animals have different colors.

2 People depend on cows, chickens, and pigs for their meat supply. They get eggs from fowls such as chickens, ducks, and quails. Oil and dairy products come from cows, goats, and carabaos. Animals differ in the kind of food they eat. Animals provide people with food like meat, eggs, and milk. Animals are useful to man and plants. 3 The sun is the earth's source of energy. It gives us heat and light. Plants need the sun's energy for photosynthesis, or the food-making process. Without the sun, life on earth would not be possible. The sun is the center of the solar system. The sun is the earth's main source of energy. The sun is a ball of hot, glowing gases. 4 Unpleasant sounds coming from different sources affect us. It disturbs us when we are sleeping. When there is noise, we cannot hear what other people are saying. When this happens, we cannot work well. Too much noise can hurt the ears. Worst still, it may cause deafness. Sounds can be heard everywhere. Unpleasant sounds usually irritate us. Unpleasant sounds or noise can hurt our ears or even cause deafness. 5 We can exercise by playing games, walking, or running. Exercise helps develop and strengthen our muscles. It also helps us develop good posture. When we exercise, our heart and lungs are also exercised. Our body needs exercise to keep it healthy and strong. Playing games, walking, or running provide the body with the much-needed physical exercise. Exercise helps develop and strengthen our muscles.

answer. Mang Rodante took off his hat and laid on the grass under the big mango tree after Aling Trining left. It was always like this every afternoon. Aling Trining would bring lunch to her husband, wait for him to finish his lunch and then set off for their hut while Mang Rodante would take his nap. The couple was never blessed with a child since they tied the knot eight years ago. They were told by Dr. Alba, family friend of the Urquico's who in turn owns the farm tended by the couple, that they were genetically incompatible. Just as they were about to lose their remaining hope, the baby that never came finally found its way to them one sunny afternoon. Mang Rodante had a strange dream. The animals in the barn were having a meeting. Although they were making their usual sounds, Mang Rodante understood them. The animals wanted to thank the couple for their unconditional care and they wanted to give them a gift. The dream was cut as Mang Rodante awoke to the sound of a baby's cry. He immediately got up and set out to find the source of the sound. He ended up in the barn. He was surprised to see the animals looking down on a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes. The animals invited Mang Rodante in. He picked up then cuddled the baby on his arms. The animals cheered for him. He took the baby to his wife. Aling Trining cried tears of joy. The couple realized that their prayers did not fall on deaf ears after all.
