A Chart (Series 4) that lists the titles of the 10 Six Minute Talks with the corresponding Talk Number. These Scripts or Articles could be read or downloaded from ScribD 2. A Chart (Series 3) that lists out the series of talks that covers the subject Muslim History or Islamic History. This interesting subject is covered in two approaches. One set of talks (Talk Nos 114 & 116) are an outline of what happened, and The second lot of talks (Talk Nos 117 to 119) is a description of the reaction of the Muslim world or the Muslim Populace to the changes or the social tribulations that were taking place right throughout this history. 3. A Chart (Series 2) that lists out the 16 Talks (or Episodes) under the series Knowing Allah Taaalah or Knowing GOD These Scripts or Articles too could be read or downloaded from ScribD 4. Notes to these talks or to these scripts/ articles
The main objective of these talks (and therefore the scripts of these talks), is to stimulate thinking. Sensible, rational and logical thinking. So, my message, think, think & think! Be sensible, be rational and be logical.
In Aayath No 29 of Surah Saad, Allah points out to us some of the objectives of the Quran: (38:29) This is a blessed Book We have revealed to you, so that they deliberate in its verses, and so that the men of understanding would do ZIKR.
So this Aayath describes what two categories of people would do. The category that Allah describes as they would contemplate or think about the Aayaths and the second category that Allah describes as the Oolul Albaab would do Zikr of the Aayaths. Now does this not indicate that Zikr of the Aayaths would be a higher or a deeper form of thinking or contemplating? The Quran is given to us so that we would do ZIKR of the Aayaths and Insha Allah through this we could become the Oolul Albaab. Now there is something that puzzles me very much about what Allah tells us. On one hand, Allah tells us that he is very very Just; Let me read a few of the Aayaths that point this out:
(4:40 - Part) Surely, Allah does not wrong (anyone), even to the measure of a particle.
S Al Ghaafir (40:17) Today, everyone will be recompensed for what one earned. There is no injustice today. Surely, Allah is swift in reckoning.
Surah Az Zalzalah (99:7) So, whoever does any good act (even) to the weight of a particle will see it.
(99:8) And whoever does evil (even) to the weight of a particle will see it.
And then Allah instructs us: (2:39) As for those who disbelieve, and deny Our signs, they are the people of the Fire. They shall dwell in it forever.
There are many such Aayaths that point out to us the horrible punishments in Hell, which is forever and forever. Now I think this is very unfair or very unjust. How can I understand it? A friend was telling me recently We live on this earth for maybe 60 to 70 years, then what is the crime that we have committed that should land us in that terrible Hell for ever and forever? Hell is not an uncomfortable room. The torment in Hell is unimaginable. Then we also learn from the same Quran that describes and instructs us of Hell that Allah is very very just. Now this is something all of us have to work out. We have to have the belief and the confidence that the answers are in the Quran. We have to have the belief and the confidence that the answers to this puzzling or rather frightening question has to be in the Quran and when we read the Quran with the proper frame of mind Allah will guide us to that answer and then when we realize we would say Ooh, so that is right! Now I understand the enormity of the crimes committed by those who would deserve Hell. This ZIKR of the Quran, that is a deep thinking about what the Quran instructs us, would make us the Oolul Albaab and then Insha Allah as the Oolul Albaab we will clearly understand the justice of Allah and we would say this justice is the correct justice. On Qiyaamath day this justice and the magnitude of our deeds will be clear to us and even those who are sentenced to Hell will agree that they deserve the verdict. So should we not seriously get down to reading the Quran, learning Arabic and then seriously try to work out the message Allah has kept for all of us! May Allah Taaalah guide us all and accept us all. Jazza Kalla Khairan. Assalamu Alaikum

Please Note
1. I have had the great privilege, (since Aug 2010), of presenting talks on the weekly Radio Program Culture of Islam [Friday 5.30 to 6.00 am, Radio Sri Lanka - FM 97.4] 2. Since these are Radio Talks, I refer to, or address the audience as listeners 3. I am well aware that the audience to these talks would consist of people belonging to a variety of faiths. So as to make people of all faiths feel included, I very often use words and names that are common to all religions. 4. For these reasons, I use the name GOD, as well as Abraham, Moses, Jesus etc as well as the names Allah, Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam), Moosa (Alaihis Salaam), Easa (Alaihis Salaam) etc 5. Muslims by habit usually say Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam, when the name of Prophet Muhammad is mentioned, and Alaihis Salaam' when the name of a Prophet is mentioned. However, in these series of talks I have reduced the use of these prayers & sayings to the bare minimum. 6. Muslims, also by habit, use a number of Arabic prayers or sayings, such as Alhamdulillah, Insha Allah and so on. Again, I have reduced the use of these prayers or sayings to the bare minimum. 7. Sometimes I have to write Arabic words in the English script. I have devised my own way of writing Arabic in English, as follows;
