SAMPLE ESSAYS

Essay 1 After the school examination ended, it was the mid year school holidays. To fill in the free time, I suggested to my friends that all of us went for a camping at Bukit Tengkorak in Kampung Bubul. However, only 13 of them agreed to join the trip. Some of them did not agree with the idea because the place is popular as a dangerous place. But, some of my friends did not think so. On Saturday, all of us depart at nine in the morning for Bukit Tengkorak. We travelled there in a van owned by one of my classmates. Seven boys and six girls joined this trip. When we arrived there, the first thing we did was finding a suitable place to set up the camp. After we finished setting up the tent, all of us rested for a while. Then the girls started to prepare the food for dinner. We ate our dinner around 7.30 in the evening. Everything was fine at first. But an unexpected thing happened around midnight. Yusry, one of my friends, went missing. When we realised that Yusry was missing, all of us were worried. We were afraid that Yusry got lost because the forest was a dangerous place at night. We decided to search for him. We divided ourselves into three groups to look for him. Each of the group searched at different places. I was busy looking around to find any clues that can help us to find Yusry. Suddenly, Aina whispered to me that she saw a black figure with a mask behind a tree. She was really scared that she was crying. She described the thing she saw as someone wearing all black with a white mask. After that incident, we decided to search Yusry together. Another girl saw the mask man before he disappeared again. We continued our search for Yusry and at the same time we were also worried about our own safety. Suddenly, we heard a voice. It was a male voice asking for help. We followed the direction of the voice carefully and without making a lot of noise. We did not know what to expect. All of a sudden, Alisa screamed. She pointed to a figure that looked like the mask man that Aina described. Then we realised that the mask man was a real person and not a ghost. He told us that he has fallen from a tree and had injured his hand. All of us were relieved. The mask man took off his mask and he revealed his real self. We were shocked. But at the same time we were glad as the mask man was Yusry. We were not scared anymore. We brought Yusy back to the campsite. We gave him some medicine for his injury. Luckily it was not serious. The incident was an unforgettable experience to all of us. After the trip, we gave Yusry a new nickname, the maskman in the dark. Essay 2 I never forget a particular experience that occurred when I was eight. When I recalled back the incident, it would bring a mixture of feeling in me. It took place in the kitchen of my house.

SAMPLE ESSAYS
It was seven in the morning. My family went to my grandmothers house in Kampung Kunak Madai. My grandmothers house was very far from our house. My grandmother was organizing a small gathering for the whole family there. However, my cousin, Jared and I stayed at home because we had to go to school the next morning. My mother informed us that they will be back by two in the morning. Exactly at ten oclock, we went to our room to sleep. Suddenly, we heard the sound from the kitchen. It sounded like a broken saucer. At first, I thought it was my cat, Montels work. Montel likes to catch the mouse in the kitchen. So I ignored the sound. Not long after that, we heard another sound. I felt something was wrong. Jared and I decided to investigate the noise we heard. We went to the kitchen but did not notice anything unusual. Even though everything looked as usual, we were not satisfied. We still felt that something was wrong. Then, we noticed a figure in front of the house. I shouted whos there? but he did not answer me back. This really freaked me out. I did not know what to do. All of a sudden, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I screamed as I knew it did not belong to Jared. I knew that even Jared would not be able to do anything. He would not be able to help me. I did not know what to do at that time. I struggled and managed to grab the mask of the guy. It was my father! I immediately hugged him and Jerad together. I was relieved. We laughed together. It was an unforgettable experience for me. I will never forget the incident. Essay 3 After two weeks from the examination, I began to plan for a suitable way to spend my holiday. I need to relax and get some rest after the examination. I decided to spend the holiday with my friends at my grandparents house. My grandparents house was in Kampung Melati. I was so happy that I could spend my time with my grandparents. During our stay at my grandparents house, we decided to help my grandparents with their garden. My grandparents planted some vegetables in their garden. My grandparents were quite old. Therefore, we felt that we need to do something to help them. One day, my grandparents went to a nearby village for a feast. My friends and I did not follow my grandparents to the feast because we were tired. However, we could not sleep that night. My grandparents were really funny and they liked to joke with us. So it felt weird without them. It was quieter than usual. We spent time watching television. We decided to go to back early that night because we were afraid. Suddenly we heard a noise from the kitchen. Something fell on the kitchen floor. We also heard someones voice in the kitchen as well. We were shocked and we did not know what to do to. We were really scared. My friends suggested that we called the police but I disagreed with the idea.

SAMPLE ESSAYS
I dared my friends to go down to find out what was going on downstairs. All of us went down to the kitchen. We were surprised when we saw a thief in the kitchen. He was rummaging the drawer searching for valuables. We quietly tiptoed back to our room. Alia called the police and inform them about the robbery. When the police came, the thief was shocked and tried to run away. Luckily, the police managed to catch the thief. We were so relieved. In the morning, my grandparents returned from the feast. They were surprised to find police at their house. However they were so relieved when they found out that we were safe. After spending two weeks at my grandparents house, we went back to our houses. We really enjoyed the trip to my grandparents village. We also gained some unforgettable experience there.
