Name: Mohmedfaizal Kadri Assignment No.: 02 (Flow Chart Of Library) Roll No. : D-302422 Date: 02nd January, 2013

INTRODUCTION :
This Assignment is based on the Library process, how the issuing process to return process are followed in the library. We have to analyse the existing (AS IS) process and find out the problems which makes difficulties in it and from the analysis we have to create a new Automated process flow chart for the library process. Also we have to Prepare Questionnaires for Customers & Library Staff.

1) FLOW CHART ON AS-IN PROCESS :

2) PROBLEMS IN AS-IN PROCESS :

As per the data given in the assignment I have drawn flow chart on ASIN process. We can see that library has total 300 member who already subscribed the library. Membership fee is Rs. 400 per year per person. A person who is above 18 or 18 only can subscribe. There are 5000 books are available in the library and 1000 are only for reference use it cannot be issued to any customer. Daily approximately 100 members come for the issue and return books. We can see that number of customer per day is high where books availability is low. Only 4000 books can be issued. So here the above AS-IN process is not effective or feasible for the better utilisation and process of the library. There are some bottlenecks in the process which we have to eliminate or to modify to make process efficient and effective for customers as well as library staffs. On the basis of analysis we conclude that Software applications are not so effective so records of books cannot stored in better manner. Also the staffs of library have to work manually in the AS-IN process. If we develop some Computerised application so work can be minimised with the help of computers and applications.
