Motor Rehabilitation

In the event of an injury being sustained in a motor accident it is crucial that appropriate and timely rehabilitation is provided to injured persons to support their optimal recovery.
Motor rehabilitation offers injured parties a streamlined rehabilitation service that delivers early intervention treatment services, dealing with minor injuries such as whiplash to life-changing catastrophic injuries such as spinal cord injury. QBE endorses a proactive approach to rehabilitation and will consider rehabilitation at the earliest time post accident to ensure optimal recovery for injured persons and a seamless journey through the recovery process. The Motor Rehabilitation Service delivers effective treatment and case management for individuals who have sustained an injury and can include physiotherapy for minor whiplash injuries or more comprehensive rehabilitation programmes managed by specialist case managers for higher level injuries. QBE ensures, that where possible, the case managers are members of industry bodies, for example: Case Management Society (UK); UKRC and abide by their Standards of Practice.

Major Incident Response Service

The Major Incident Response Service (MIRS) is a specialised QBE product designed to minimise the impact of a major event or incident through an early coordinated response. The service provides proactive and comprehensive services to policyholders and affected parties and involves early pre-claim management of a major incident to mitigate circumstances, contain claims costs and ensure that appropriate rehabilitation is delivered to those involved. Motor Rehabilitation Services provide evidence based treatment services that are tailored to the individual. The services include: Whiplash service for minor injuries, all clients receive a triage assessment by a registered physiotherapist, which can include provision of advice and education, individual exercise programmes, physiotherapy programmes or psychological treatments Major injury and catastrophic injury management service provides tailored rehabilitation programmes to address more complex injuries including multiple fractures or internal injuries. Includes vocational and functional rehabilitation, investigations, psychological treatment

The QBE Rehabilitation Team work closely with the Claims Team to provide specialised rehabilitation programmes for catastrophic injuries. Rehabilitation programmes are case managed by highly experienced and specialist case managers who will tailor a rehabilitation programme to the individuals needs.
