Anna Verwaal, born and educated in the Netherlands is a Maternal-Child Health Nurse, Conscious Conception & Birth Consultant, Primal

Period Educator, Doula/Midwifery Instructor, UCLA Certied Lactation Educator and Birth Photographer who lives in Santa Fe. After a long nursing career in various obstetrical and home-health settings she preferred to work with families and babies as an educator/ doula and started her own birth consulting practice. She currently travels internationally to lecture about the cellular memory of the birth experience, the physiological and hormonal blueprint for birth and bonding and the deeply psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects of giving birth. Combining science, art and wisdom she uses the latest research in Pre- and Perinatal Psychology & Health, her own sensitive birth photography and more than 25 years experience of working along side perinatologists, obstetricians and (indigenous) midwives attending hospital and home births.
