PROJECT: KOBAR HOSPITAL EXTENSION

OBSTETRIC / GYNECOLOGY & PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL_ 300 BED

1- INTRODUCTION: This Document Provides The Criteria And Load Calculations Used In The Design Of Structural Items Involved In The Design Of Obstetric / Gynecology & Pediatric Hospital(300 Bed) Al-KHOBAR. This Document Covers All The Necessary Requirements Which Serve As The Basis In The Preparation Of Structural Design Calculations Of All Concrete Structures Including The Building Foundation. 2- STRUCTURAL SYSTEM OF THE BUILDINGS: The Building Is Designed Column, Wall, Beams and Slab Cast In Situ System The Foundations Are Combined Footing & Isolated Footing and Mat Foundation 3- DESIGN ASSUMPTIONS: Horizontal and Vertical Wind Loads Shall Be Assumed To Act Simultaneously As Per ASCE 7-05 Ultimate Strength Method Will Be Used In The Design Of Concrete. The shear walls and frame system will resist the lateral wind and seismic loads in both directions. Outer CMU Walls will be considered as Line Load. Internal partition is taken uniformly distributed load Between These Walls.

4- GENERAL NOTES: Measuring system is Si metric units. Design codes standard, speciations Building Code Requirements For Structural Concrete - Uniform Building Code - Detail and Detailing Of Concrete Reinforcement - Design Loads - Loading combinations
