Does God Desire To Speak To Ordinary Humans Like Us?

Paula Matthews

Every living being has an innate desire to communicate with others. This desire to communicate is a natural instinct that comes from God. According to the Bible, God desired a family on earth so he created man in his image and likeness. Man became a living and speaking spirit like God. Adam and Eve were the first family on earth to walk and talk with God. In fact, the Bible is filled with stories of God communing with man on earth. He spoke through his prophets and did mighty acts on behalf of the people of the earth. The Bible is also called the Word of God, and it contains sixty-six books that are filled with words God spoke to ordinary men. These men wrote as the Spirit of God moved upon them.

Those in the New Testament era understood this passage to mean that God would send messengers in the spirit of Elijah who would reconcile the people back to God. John the Baptist was such a prophet and so was Jesus Christ. The message of the Kingdom that Jesus preached was one of reconciliation. He came to seek and save that which was lost . . . not only from the times of the Old Testament prophets, but also that which was lost since the time of Adam.

This is the same message that Jesus told his disciples and the church to teach. Jesus taught that God loved us and that he also wanted to repair the communication breach between God and man. By doing so, we would once again have days of heaven upon the earth. In John Chapter 14, Jesus made great promToday God still speaks by his spirit, yet few ises that confirmed Gods desire to communicate people recognize his voice? Amongst Chriswith us. He gave us the Holy Spirit (The Spirit of tians, there is a myth that says God doesnt Truth), who would dwell with us forever and teach speak any more. There was only one time us all things. Jesus also promised that if we kept recorded in ancient times where it is told that his commandments, he would manifest (show) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, God stopped speaking. It was after the Book of himself to us; and he and his Father would also And open the door, I will come in to him, Malachi when God spoke harsh words against And will sup with him, and he with me. make their home with us. Revelation 3:20(KJV) his people for their abuses in the temple. Even then, God didnt close the door on man, So, does God desire to speak to ordinary humans instead he promised to send the prophet Elijah like us? Yes, indeed. God loves us so much that who would turn the heart of the Father back he would come and live with us if we would only to the children, and turn the hearts of the children back to hear him knocking at the door of our hearts and would open God the father. the door and invite him in.
