I thank the Lord for the opportunity I have to be here in Jam aica to work for the Lord, On November 8, I had the opportu

things for which I am especially glad Is for one of the young
ladles who accepted the Lord when I came on my internship

Since you heard from me last, quite a few t hings have happened. For exarr^ple: I have gone to live in Grierfield area; this is in
the Parrish of St. ann.- Here I can serve t he Grierfield and

Clover Hill churches better. I am the pr esent minister to these

congregations. They are approximately Ui miles apart.

Let me nov\r write a few things about these churches:
The Grierfield Church:

This church is presently meeting in a very small building..

( I presume that some people are using this as an excuse

for not coming to worship there.) h new building was started a few months ago, but lack of finance caused the work to
stop for a time.
In this church there are no ordained elders no r deacons.

There are a fev7 men here, but they need /iiuch teachings
according to i;ew Testa^nent pattern. oome of the people v;ho attend are froLi various religious backccrounds, such as: Tabernacle, Pentecostal, SevenDay -id^rentist, Baptist. You rr.ay i.-Viagine that this is not an easy situation to have organized. Here a^^^in I v/ill say
since the battle is t he Lord*s all v;ill be well. I started

a Bible study class at the church; this I am confident will be a blessing.

vie do not have many young people in this conp;re gation. The reasons are: 1. .ost of those, v/ho-v^ere in the church
have either orne to work at some fimployment or gone to school away frorr; the distr ict. 2. There are three churches

in this district, and it is not a bip: one. Besides the Church of Christ there is a seventh iJalf -vdventist, and a Baptist -dventist. .i/ell, some of the men in the area are attracted to some wordly pleasure, and such is in easy
reachingd distance from the church building. This is also true of many of the youn^^ fellov/s.

The Clover Hill church has a lovely building but we are presently enraged in building a vestry and hope to put on a porch as early ^as the Lord helps us to do so. ;/e hope
also to p:et some benches ifhen things are better. In both

churches there are mer.bers who are very interested to see the work of the Lord p.o on in good spirit
