Maze Solving (High School)

Goal
To design and program a robot that can pass through the path that has been provided. Tracks are using black lines in a white field with line thickness of 2 cm.

Robot Specifications
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Only one robot is allowed to bring any team in the state has been on the raft. Size max length 25 cm, width 25 cm, height 25 cm. Max weight 5 kg. The maximum amount of sensor used in robot is only 1 set (only allowed on the front). Remote control is prohibited Source voltage up to 12 volts. Allowed to bring one set of spare batteries (according to the number of batteries used)

Contest Rules
1. Participants are junior-senior high school students 2. Participants are only allowed to bring one laptop into the arena. 3. Each contestant assembles and program their robots based trajectory given by the committee. 4. Sequence determined by the lottery race. 5. The competition consists of two sessions. The first session was given 120 minutes to program and trial. The second session was given 60 minutes to reprogram and trial. 6. During the race progresses, contestants are not allowed to program the robot and the laptop is placed in the closed position. 7. Before the last group completed the first session, participants are not allowed to reprogram their robots, robots shall be placed in front of the committee table. 8. After the completion of the first session, participants will be given a break of 60 minutes, the rest all equipment and robots left in the race. 9. The second session will begin with the same procedure as the first session with a different draw. 10. The race is considered complete after the second race is completed and participants were allowed to leave the race.

Obstacles

Game System
1. In track there are points that can be taken. 2. Each point has been obtained, and then the time taken to complete the maze robot will be multiplied by 0.8. 3. Every point is not passed, the time required to complete the maze robot will be multiplied by 1.2. 4. The robot must be able to operate with just one press of a button. 5. Race starts after the signal from the jury. 6. Robots are already placed in the arena should not be touched by the contestants unless it has been authorized by the jury. 7. The robot will be declared complete if successful stop at the finish line for 5 seconds (robots that are not considered stopping finish). 8. A robot must complete the maze in less than 300 seconds. 9. If the robot is not complete until the allotted time, then the time will be recorded as a max, 300 sec. 10. Robot will be allowed to re-try for each session with the approval of the jury with the following provisions: a. Robot collision. b. Robot stops or off the track. c. During the allotted time has not run out (300 seconds). 11. Not allowed to re-try if 300 seconds have passed. 12. The difference between junior high school and senior high school is on the level of difficulty of its trajectory.

Judging Criteria
The winner is determined by: a. The score formula : time x (0.8)n x (1.2)m b. n = points taken m = points not taken

Winners
1. The winners are the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, 2 technical awards and 3 special awards. 2. The 1, 2, and 3 are the teams that gain the final lowest score. 3. Technical award based on constructions and technical.
