Learning areas States of matter Learning objectives 1.

1 Understanding the matter that exist in the form of solid, liquid and gas. 1.1.2 State the properties of solid 1.1.3 State the properties of liquid 1.1.5 State the properties of gas Learning outcomes: by the end of the lesson, pupils should able to: 1. Identify the properties of three types of matter correctly after the experiment. 2. Differentiate the properties of three types of matter correctly 3. Explain the properties of each types of matter correctly without referring books. 4. Answer the worksheet without any mistakes or at least minimum 1 wrong.

Prior knowledge: Pupils have experienced dissolving substances into water in year 2. They have handled solid & liquid in that topic.

Set induction:

Eliciting ideas: 1. Teacher asks few question related to topic to generate pupils ideas before the experiments. 2. Teacher set a game for pupils. The game named as genius box. 3. In the genius box, there are few questions that related to the lesson.

Restructuring idea: 1. Teacher sets three stations with apparatuses for experiment.

2. The divides the pupils into three groups. Each group will starts with different stations. a. Group 1 = properties of solid b. Group 2 = properties of liquid c. Group 3 = properties of gas 3. After the teacher blow the whistle, pupils have to move to another station to observe and collect the data. 4. After each group finished their experiment, the teacher will discuss the result from the experiment. 5. Then, teacher relates the results with the properties of the matter.

Application of idea: 1. Teacher distributes the worksheets to the pupils. 2. They are given 5 minutes to answer the questions in worksheets. 3. After that, the teacher discusses the answers with the pupils. Reflection:
