The ILSC Cambridge Mastery Program will prepare and motivate you towards the Cambridge Main Suite Exams (FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC). Owing to their high standards and strict regulations, the Cambridge exams are widely recognized in commerce and industry. These certificates also fulfill English requirements for entrance to many universities, colleges, and other institutions of further education. The aim of the Cambridge examination curriculum is to achieve clarity in communication. The exams test whole language: that is, your ability to use, produce, and analyze the English language. Youll be required to demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English. The Cambridge Mastery Program is structured towards the official examination. The course is designed to maximize use of materials and practice opportunities. Your abilities are evaluated at the beginning of the course, and weekly tests measure your progress in specific skills.

SPRING
Buds and blossoms start appearing on Vancouver trees as early as February. Meanwhile on the mountains, the ski season often lasts until well into April. Vancouver has the earliest growing season in Canada, but spring is often still rainy and cool, so make sure to keep your warm clothes and umbrella handy this time of year.
FALL
Vancouver often stays sunny and comfortable well into October, although temperatures do start to cool off, so when September hits, you can put your bathing suit away. In mid-late October, expect Vancouvers famous rains to start feeding our lush and beautiful rainforests. Make sure you have warm clothes to bundle up, and dont forget your umbrella!
SUMMER
In summer, students can enjoy lounging on Vancouvers many beaches, try stand-up paddleboarding in English Bay (the latest Vancouver craze), check out the Fireworks Competition, hike the local mountains or enjoy the citys many free summer festivals, Canada Day celebrations, and more. Summers in Vancouver are comfortable. Bring a bathing suit, but make sure to have a warm sweater and jacket for the cool coastal evenings.
WINTER
Home of the 2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver is a popular destination for skiers, snowboarders and winter sports fans. The world renowned Whistler Mountain Ski Resort is a 1 hour drive from the city. Local ski hills, Grouse, Seymour and Cypress are all a short hour drive from downtown. Snow falls on the mountains, but rarely in the city where average temperatures hover around 10C. There will be a few winter days that hit the freezing point, though, so bring warm clothes and rain gear.

The term could just as easily be used to describe New Delhi, Indias vibrant and bustling capital. New Delhi is a young metropolis, built upon the remnants of ancient cities.
A fascinating mix of historical monuments and modern high-tech industry, colourful nightlife and fabulous shopping and dining options, New Delhi is a feast for the senses. It is also a convenient launching point for some of Indias best tourist destinations like the Taj Mahal, Rajasthan and the majestic Himalayan Hill Stations.

Delhis spring, from February to April, is sunny with warm days and cool nights. The weather can be a bit unpredictable in spring, but temperatures warm up quickly. Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colours happens in midMarch, to celebrate the spring. During Holi, the locals take to the streets for wild celebration as they throw coloured powder at one another. India receives 80% of its yearly rainfall during this season, and although Delhi is typically drier than other parts of the country, you definitely need an umbrella. In July, students can see competitions, dancing, and more at the Mango Festival. Later in the month, the Naga Panchami festival offers a chance to see snake charmers around the city. And in August, dont miss the Indian Independence day celebrations at New Delhis Red Fort.

Many religious figures have their own festivals this month and are celebrated through song, dance and theatre.
Winter
December to February can get cool in Delhi as the winds blow down from the Himalayas, and though the city never receives snow, a cool fog can roll in. Students can check out the Republic Day Parade in January to see enormous crowds, and if they want to shop or discover the variety of Indian culture, they should definitely plan to visit the Surajkund Crafts Mela, a two week arts and crafts fair that happens in February.

USA
The following is general information. Visa regulations are determined by a department of the USA government called US Citizenship and Immigration Services and are subject to change. Please verify visa information with the nearest USA embassy or consulate.
AUSTRALIA
All students planning to study at ILSCAustralia will require an appropriate visa. The following is general information. Visa regulations are determined by the Immigration Department in Australia and are subject to change. Please verify visa information with the nearest Australian embassy or consulate. Please refer to the following website to determine what type of visa you will need to study at ILSCAustralia: www.immi.gov.au/ students/students/chooser
Visitor Visa
International students who wish to study in Canada for up to 6 months may need a Visitors Visa depending on the country for which they hold a passport. To see if this applies to you, please check the list of Countries and Territories Whose Citizens Require Visas in order to enter Canada as Visitors: www.cic.gc.ca/English/visit/visas.asp
Visitor Visa
The visitor visa is a non-immigrant visa for foreign citizens desiring to enter the United States temporarily for business (B1), or for pleasure or medical treatment (B2). If you are entering the United States primarily for tourism, but want to take a short course of study of less than 18 hours per week (Full-Time or Semi Full-Time schedule at ILSC), you may be able to do so on a Visitor Visa. If your course of study is more than 18 hours a week, you will need a Student Visa.
Student Visa
Students applying for a Student Visa must be enrolled for Full-Time study and submit an electronic confirmation of enrollment from the school, along with the appropriate visa paperwork. On approval from Australian immigration a Student Visa will be issued for the duration of your studies, and allows students to get permission to work 20 hours a week, with some restrictions.
Study Permit
Students do not need a Study Permit for study programs that last 6 months or less. If you plan to study in Canada for longer than 6 months, you must obtain a Study Permit. These are available through your local Canadian visa office: www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/offices/ missions.asp Students may apply for a Study Permit even if they are going to study for 6 months or less. If students are coming for less than 6 months and are thinking of possibly extending their studies to more than 6 months, they should apply for a Study Permit in their home country. Students can extend their Study Permit from within Canada, but they cannot get a Study Permit from within Canada.
Student Visa
The F1 student visa is a non-immigrant visa for foreign citizens whose primary purpose of entering the United States is to study. Students enrolling in the Full-Time Intensive schedule at ILSC must obtain an F1 student visa. Students applying for an F1 Student Visa need to obtain a SEVIS* generated I20 form from ILSC. In order to receive an I20 form, please follow the admission instructions in ILSC application checklist. The U.S. Department of State encourages students to apply for their visa as soon as they are prepared to do so to provide ample time for visa processing. First-time student visa applicants are, in most countries, required to appear for an in-person interview. However, each embassy and consulate sets its own interview policies and procedures regarding Student Visas. Students should consult Embassy web sites or call for specific application instructions. *SEVIS is a system that maintains accurate and current information on non-immigrant students from the time a school issues an I20 form for them. SEVIS enables schools to transmit mandatory information and event notifications via the internet to the Department of Homeland Security and Department of State throughout a students stay in the United States.
Other visas
There are other visas that may allow study options as part of their conditions. Please check with the immigration link above or with the closest embassy or consulate. However, students with focused long term study needs should come on a Student Visa.
