SAFETY EQUIPMENTS: 1) GLOVES. 2) DISCHARGE ROD. PROCEDURE:
1) Ensure NO power cables are connected in 11kV GIS. 2) Prior to start the test on BUSBAR A all breakers to be kept in CLOSE condition except Bus Section breaker. 3) Ensure the Bus-Section Breaker in OPEN condition. 4) Ensure the Bus Earth Switch & Voltage transformers are in ISOLATED or OPEN condition. 5) Ensure the CT Secondary Circuits are Shorted and earthed. 6) Select +K01 as a reference panel for applying the HV at Bus A. 7) Select the R Phase for the testing and remaining two phases Y & B to be shorted with earth. 8) Apply 5kV DC Voltage between R Phase of +K01 and earth through the calibrated IR Tester for a time duration of 1 MIN. 9) And the Values to be recorded as shown in the test format. 10) Discharge the tested Phase by using the discharge rod & Safety gloves. 11) Repeat the above procedure for the remaining two phases say Y & B. 12) Ensure the Healthiness of the 11kV GIS SWGR insulation through the IR Test Values.

13) Ensure the Proper earthing of HV Test equipment prior to start the HV Test. 14) Select the R Phase for the testing and remaining two phases Y & B to be shorted with earth. 15) Apply 3kV AC Voltage on R-Ph at Busbar A. 16) Ensure the healthiness of all HV Indicator ( CAPDIS) mounted at 11kV SWGR. 17) Increase the AC Voltage smoothly to 80% of FAT Value( Power Frequency Voltage test ) or else say 25kV on R-Ph for the time duration of 1 Min. 18) Record the Values as shown in the approved test format & ensure that SWGR is withstanding for the test value. 19) Reduce the Voltage gradually to zero. 20) Discharge the tested phase in safe manner by using the discharge rod with the HV safety gloves. 21) Test to be carried out for the remaining two phases in same manner(i.e., Item no :14 to 20).

NOTE: Above same Procedure to be follow while doing HV Test for Bus Section-B.

Attachements : 1. Risk Assesement. 2. SAT Format.
