WIT2450 Low-Cost Frequency Hopping Transceiver OEM Module

From the leader in robust, high-performance wireless modules comes the next generation of low-cost 2.4GHz spread spectrum OEM modules. The Cirronet WIT2450 provides the unique combination of highly integrated low-cost components and the high performance, high-reliability RF know-how that has made Cirronet products the first choice of designers for mission critical applications, at a price that allows use in a wide variety of cost-sensitive applications.

Simple. Simple to use and simple to integrate, the WIT2450 is a complete wireless data modem. All you need to do is send data to the module through a standard asynchronous serial interface. Error detection and correction is handled by the WIT2450. The WIT2450 provides an addressing mode that allows point-to-multipoint operation without having to sacrifice data reliability or throughput. There is no need for your application to know what the radio module is doing you simply send and receive data through a UART. Reliable. The WIT2450 provides robust, reliable wireless communications as well as reliable operation. With frequency hopping spread spectrum radio technology and Cirronet's patented wireless MAC, the WIT2450 provides immunity to jamming and multipath fading. Using a 24-bit CRC and automatic retransmit request (ARQ) along with a 3K buffer, transparent, error-free communications is automatic. Reliable operation over a -40 C to +70 C operating temperature range is assured through our stringent QA processes. All WIT2450 modules are produced in an ISO9001:2000 certified facility to Cirronet's exacting standards.

Just another reason Cirronet is the choice of hundreds of designers worldwide. Flexible. While the factory-set parameters are suitable for most applications, the WIT2450 provides the same degree of configurability that has distinguished the WIT2410. Standard and non-standard baud rates can be selected through a simple command-driven configuration mode. Transmit power settings, the speed at which the radio hops, 802.11b avoidance frequency bands, and network IDs, among other settings, can be set and saved in non-volatile memory for applications requiring different operating characteristics. Point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and store-and-forward repeating while operating as a node are supported.
