Orffyreus and the Impossible Dream

Frank Ewards poses this:

Count Karl the Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel was wealthy. So it raises the question, if he
had the money, why he did not buy the rights to the production of Orffyreus’ machine?
Had he done so, course of the world would have been different today!” To me it seems
amazing that Karl did not pay the price since he had the money and he knew by his
actual observation within the covering, and that it was an actual invention without any
fraud.= Well, Well now that’s a fair question, but just think of it, Karl would’ve been
very much aware of “Orffyreus’s problem” and his trouble in selling a “blind invention,”
Karl didn’t want to be stuck with the baby, then he would be holding Orffyreus problem,
unable to sell a “blind” invention Yes Orffyreus was in a “cul-de-sac” alright and the
clouds of night were gathering. Now this convinces me more of my suspicions of the
religious turmoil of the day, the Count with much to lose, reluctantly accepting the new
Protestant faith, as many did in the same circumances, (fearing loosing lands and
possessions) though reluctant to divorce from Orffyreus, because he would hold fast to
the old faith, therefore incurring the wrath of many in his field, who would become his
“enemies” as he would often refer to near the end of his life, and the terrible, and
miserable state he found himself in. It all fits , but for a Catholic to have such an
important idea, and they with so much power must have been galling, it was a case of
sour grapes, and an attempt to disgrace the name of Orffyreus, and his Wheel as a fraud.
Catholics of the time were forced to join the new religions by the powerful Princes of the
day, or face destitution or worse.

This sounds ironical that Orffyreus is virtually unknown today in the world of
science and philosophy, whereas Leibniz is a leading figure in science and
philosophy, he is counted among the pioneers of principle of conservation of
energy. This proves to be less ironical when we consider that science is not
what it claims to be – objective and open. Science looks like a myth when the
rise of science is viewed as a sociological process influenced by personal factors
and subjectivity. Orffyreus would receive no favors from History for likewise, what
part is the story of Christ written down in Jewish History?

You see “our World of science” that we rely on today, is man-made and therefore not
infallible, now in bed with Darwinism, and is aimed directly in opposition to God, who is
infallible, but the sad thing in all this is, man tries to decipher the puzzles of life through
“science” like a man in a dark-room, look at the paranormal, UFOs, and corn circles,
science doesn’t try to explain them, because it can’t get a handle on it. The greatest
puzzles of all can only be seen through a “Godly Eye” and there explanation thereof.
What investigation of serious study was made of these forces? And gravity the most
reliable of all, Newton got lavished with honors for creating false laws.
