force and high speed air flow. A drag force is distributed along the entire cable length moving the cable through the duct without an exponential build-up of pulling forces in curves and undulations, such as occur when traditional pulling methods are used. Cablejet uses no closed-end shuttles or air capturing devices at the cable-end, which create significant pulling forces.
WHAT IS CABLEJET?
WHY SHOULD CABLEJET SYSTEMS BE YOUR METHOD OF CHOICE IN TODAYS COMPETITIVE AND SAFETY CONSCIOUS WORKPLACE?
BENEFITS Installations of up to eight miles (50,000 feet) per day.
Increased crew production with average cable speeds of 150-300 FPM. Labor forces may be redistributed to install more cable. Minimize figure-eighting by cascading Cablejets in series. Fewer cable splices are required as continuous cable lengths may be installed limited only by cable reel lengths. Cable is installed virtually stress free leaving the cable relaxed in the duct upon completion of the job. Cablejet can negotiate up to twenty 90 bends with only a 20% loss in efficiency. Using the Y Adapter and a Cablejet, a second cable or microduct(s) may be installed in a duct with an existing cable. Major construction savings can be obtained through the reduction or elimination of handholes or manholes. Approximate Savings: $700 to $3,000 each. Construction savings in direct buried innerduct applications as undulations in duct route have little effect on performance. Cablejet performs well in high quality smooth wall duct eliminating the need for exotic and expensive designs. Savings: $.05 per foot. Savings are obtained through the elimination of pull tape or pull rope. Savings: $.02 - $.09 per ft.
SAVINGS
Lubricant quantities are drastically reduced with Cablejet to about 10% of normal usage. Savings: Approximately $.015 per foot.

Pneumatic Superjet has an air-operated self-adjusting cylinder for placing the proper amount of gripping pressure, or radial load, on the cable. Pneumatic Superjet is recommended for cables .60 to 1.00 in diameter, however, due to lower pushing forces than Hydraulic Superjet when properly used, Pneumatic Superjet may be used on smaller, more flexible cables. Superjet features the new quick track change feature and accepts bundle jetting kits for microduct installations. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

Ask Yourself Is the coupler user-friendly enough for one technician to install with no assistance? Properly sized, will the coupler ensure against air loss and blow-out in the duct system? Can the coupler be easily removed after the installation for placing slack coils? Can the coupler be used to piece together two different o.d. ducts? Is the coupler really reusable? Does the coupler require expensive installation tools or electronic processors?

A. CABLEJET LUBETM
Cablejet LubeTM (Part No. CJL-1032) optimizes performance when airjetting cables in ducts. Non-toxic. Cablejet LubeTM cleans up with water. See MSDS for safety information. Much smaller quantities of lubricant are required for jetting cable. Achieve longer distances. More economical. Safer - No silicone beads. Better performance when heat is a factor. Duct stays lubed when dry. Easy to use squeeze bottles. JetCoat Spreaders are used to clean, prove, and lubricate ducts quickly and easily. JetCoat Spreaders are available in three sizes to fit duct diameters from 3/4 to 2. JetCoat Spreaders are packaged 10 per bag and 10 bags per carton. JCS-10-100 for 3/4 to 1-1/8 I.D. Duct JCS-10-125 for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 I.D. Duct JCS-10-150 for 1-1/2 to 2 I.D. Duct The FIGARO is a passive intermediate cable storage device that is designed to store cable without starting at the cable-end. It is typically set up in the middle of a cable route where half of the cable is installed. The remainder is stored in the FIGARO to get to the cable-end, which has been on the inside of the cable reel. The balance of the cable is then installed going the opposite direction from the mid-point, using the FIGARO as one would a cable reel. The FIGARO allows for a stress-free storage of the cable in a coil as the cable is laid in the protective basket. The FIGARO may be dismantled into four separate components for easy transport, and weighs only approximately 300 lbs. There are several models of FIGARO available for various size cables and project lengths. FIGARONE is for cables .60-1.25 diameter and assembley is required.
C. JETCOAT SPREADERSTM
- U.S. Patent 5,197,715 Sonic Heads are end-of-the-cable mounted semi-open shuttles used in conjuction with Cablejet to install very light and flexible fiber optic cables. It allows a slight tension force at the lead end of the cable to help keep the cable straight in the duct while allowing a large portion of the air flow to pass by so that the drag force can still act on the entire length of the cable. As the pressure builds behind the shuttle, a spring loaded valve opens wider to limit the tension force and allow even more of the drag force to pass by. The Sonic Head has also shown to be a useful tool when installing some cables in corrugated duct, in that it slows down the air flow and reduces turbulence caused by the duct corrugations. Sonic Heads are available to fit the following ducts: N271.004 to fit 26mm-32mm/1 to 1-1/4 I.D. Ducts N271.003 to fit 32mm-40mm/1-1/4 to 1-1/2 I.D. Ducts N271.005 to fit 42mm-50mm/1-1/2 to 2 I.D. THE Y ADAPTER
The Sherman & Reilly Model Y adapter coupled to a Cablejet or Superjet is used for placing a second cable or microducts in a duct that already has one existing cable (subject to available space). Achievable distances are 1500 to 3000 feet on average. One branch of the Y adapter is attached to the Cablejet or Superjet and is used to place the additional cable. The other branch is used to seal off and hold the first cable. The adapter uses the same inserts that are used with the Cablejet or Superjet systems. The Y adapter has also been used to install two cables simultaneously in one innerduct.
