Alex Thomas, the male student leader of Greek Row, sharing on John 3:16-21! Alex just committed to leading for another year!!!

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of Gods one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. Crus vision is to be a transformational community of Spirit-filled multiplying disciples who help fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission at Cal Poly, Cuesta, and in the world. This quarter it is exciting to report God sending 3 new workers into the harvest. Alex Thomas, the male leader for Greek Row who rushed Sigma Nu last year attends the same second year Cru bible study as Jackson Munde and Matt Nelson. Tim Okita also knew Alex from home and was exposed to Greek Row at the beginning of this school year. Through their friendship they were able to see Alexs heart to bring Christ authentically, honestly, gracefully, truthfully, prayerfully, and lovingly to His brothers in Sigma Nu and to the Greek community as a whole. They each prayerfully considered rushing and ended up taking a bid from Sigma Nu. Now there are 6 missionally-minded men in Sigma Nu!!! I have seen Alexs step of faith multiplied before my eyes as his life has challenged those around him to take steps of faith for Christ as well. Discipleship has become a key component of Greek ministry this year. Jesus chose discipleship as the means to take the gospel to the nations, Paul bought into it as we can see in 2 Timothy 2:2 what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also, and we are on board! I have been so thankful for Matt Melendrez, an intern with Cru who is a SAE alum from Cal Poly who has been discipling Greek men, helping to coach the student leaders, and attending the Mens Bible Study. Prayer Requests: Gods protection over the men of Greek Row, their personal walks with God, biblical brotherhood, the all mens bible study, and for Matt, Tim, and Jackson as they finish pledging.
